People often claim 1.7% of the population is “intersex,” neither male nor female, but here’s the actual data.
88% of that number involves late onset congenital adrenal hyperplasia, an adrenal gland issue causing higher testosterone in unambiguous, usually fertile males or females!
The next most common one is 47:XXY Klinefelter Syndrome, making up only around 5% of the total. This is a male specific sex chromosome disorder, resulting in unambiguous males with testes that have lower T and impaired sperm production.
The next most common is 45:X Turner Syndtome, making up around 2.35% of the total. This is a female specific sex chromosome disorder, resulting in underdeveloped ovaries, heart issues, and more.
Further down the list we get to something like XY Swyer Syndrome, so rare it makes up only 0.05% of the total. This involves an XY embryo that is unable to differentiate the gonads into testes due to gene mutations, so the embryo develops no differentiated gonads. Genetic networks then develop the Müllerian duct system—oviducts, uterus, cervix, vagina, vulva—resulting in a female.
We could go on, but you get the point. The claim that 1.7% of the population is neither male nor female is a complete lie. Not only is the majority of this statistic made up of unambiguous males or females, but even the rarer disorders in the list result in male or female pathways.
Empires are empires.
They conquer. They extract. They dominate. They rewrite maps and rewrite history to suit the victors.
Roman legions, Mongol hordes, Ottoman janissaries, British gunboats, Soviet tanks … well the pattern is eternal.
Power flows outward.
Wealth flows inward.
Resistance is exterminated or co-opted. The strong rule. The weak serve or disappear.
But the modern Western empire especially its American-led phase is historically unique in one breathtaking way….
It is the only empire that has ever sold its expansion as a civilizing mission for democracy and human rights.
Every intervention, every regime-change op, every sanctions war, every color revolution is packaged as “spreading freedom.”
Bombs fall and they call it liberation.
Resources are looted and they call it development.
Governments are overthrown and they call it “defending the rules-based order.”
They don’t just take your land and minerals. They insist they’re saving your soul in the process.
And here’s what makes it especially potent and dangerous.
The people inside the empire genuinely believe it.
They’ve been marinated from kindergarten onward in the myth of their own exceptionalism.
They are not conquerors they are liberators.
Not exploiters but enlightened stewards of progress. Their decadence is “diversity.” Their decline is “evolution.” Their wars are always “humanitarian.”
Any nation that resists like Russia, Iran, China, or any Global South leader who says “no” is instantly branded barbaric, authoritarian, or an enemy of “civilization itself.”
This self-delusion is the empire’s greatest strength… and its accelerating weakness.
Other empires knew what they were.
They gloried in conquest.
This one denies it even as its military bases encircle the globe, its financial system extracts tribute via the dollar, and its corporations still control the mines natives died trying to reclaim.
Because it lies to itself so completely, it cannot see its own rot.
The deindustrialisation, endless debt and hollowed-out industrial base, coupled with a stretched military chasing threats worldwide, continue to expand even after its material power has peaked.
History is not impressed by marketing.
Empires fall.
I believe the ones that convince themselves they are not empires, that they are history’s permanent good guys, tend to fall hardest and fastest when reality finally intrudes.
Millions now see the pattern clearly.
The age of pretending is ending.
Most people I talk to eventually admit the quiet truth that Ukraine has been plagued by deep corruption, oligarch control, and weak governance for years.
Billions in Western aid vanish with little accountability, and they never had a solid long-term plan to stand up to a giant neighbor like Russia on their own.
But the second the war comes up, everything shrinks to one line:
Russia invaded. Russia bad. End of discussion.
To me that’s not thinking but repeating a script.
This tragedy is buried under mountains of misinformation from every side. History was never the simple cartoon Western media paints of pure heroes vs pure villains.
This short Russia’s side with an open mind.
After the Cold War, they were assured NATO wouldn’t creep eastward. Yet it did bases, exercises, and talk of membership right on their border in areas they could not accept.
In 2014, Donbas erupted in civil conflict, ethnic Russians faced real violence, the Minsk peace deals were signed but never truly honored.
Kyiv kept drifting toward NATO. Moscow warned for years, offered security treaties, and felt existentially threatened like America would if Chinese missiles appeared in Mexico.
To them, this wasn’t “unprovoked aggression.” It was a painful but necessary move to protect their people, their buffer, and their survival after decades of broken promises.
Of course Ukraine has suffered horribly the deaths, the destruction, the trauma are real and heartbreaking on both sides.
No decent person cheers any of it.
But ignoring the full picture NATO expansion, ignored warnings, pre-2022 fighting, internal Ukrainian divisions turns us all into emotional cheerleaders instead of truth-seekers.
Great powers play ruthless games.
The “Russia evil, West pure” story is too clean for messy reality.
I’m tired of the black-and-white propaganda that costs real human lives. We owe it to the dead on both sides to see the gray.
What do you honestly think? Was this completely unprovoked, or did years of expansion, broken deals, and tensions help set the stage?
Should we demand real negotiations that face the facts on the ground, or keep pouring weapons into an endless meat grinder?
Be real in the replies.
No hate, just your genuine take.
Let’s actually talk because people are dying while we scroll and type the slogans.
¿Qué derechos no tienes? En sálvame dijiste que no eres una mujer y no tienes disforia.
¿Ahora por ponerse un trozo de colon en los genitales te convierte en una mujer?

I'm not 'transphobic'. I'm same sex attracted. I'm homosexual. Gay. I'm attracted to men only. Male bodies.
I'm not attracted to 'trans women' because I'm attracted to men- not men cosplaying as women.
I'm not attracted to 'trans men' because I'm not attracted to women- even those cosplaying as men.
I'm attracted only to biological men.
A double standard of the worst kind.
When females say they need their own spaces away from males where they are vulnerable, they’re told, “Not all males are predators!” and expected to get over it and share. But when trans-identifying males say they feel unsafe around males in male washrooms, suddenly everyone agrees that males can be dangerous and that their fears are valid.
Apparently, concerns about male violence are irrational when females raise them, but legitimate when trans-identifying males do.
This is what I’ve been told a million times, since I entered this “discourse”.
That because I’m same-sex attracted, I am “transphobic by default”.
Which I precisely why I reject the tethering of the LGB to the rest of the alphabet soup.
You guys did this…
Own it. 🤷
Yes, I’m 41 and a huge Harry Potter fan. If anyone is wondering, here is why. When I was 13 I was a massive bellend trying to better myself by reading Kafka and Dostoyevsky and lots of other things that were far too grown up for me. One day my younger sister told me she’d read a book called Harry Potter and that she thought I’d like it.
I reluctantly started reading it and immediately fell in love with it. The child that I still was came alive again. It was funny. It was exciting. It was really bloody good.
Fast forward to the summer of 2007 and my dad was dying from brain cancer. He was an incredible man and he was reduced to lying in a bed in the sitting room, half paralysed, unable to speak or feed himself and terrified. It was humiliating and awful and it got to the point where I think all of us were actually wanting an end to it.
The Deathly Hallows was released and I started reading it when I was sat with my dad. One day my mum told my sister and I to get out of the house as we needed a break and we went to Mansands, near where we lived in Brixham. We were sat on the beach and I was reading the part where Dobby dies. He dies on a beach near a little cottage within walking distance of a fishing town. I was on a beach near a little cottage within walking distance of a fishing town attempting to cope with the imminent death of my dad. It was as though I was in the book. The stories that I’d loved for years were speaking directly to me.
And then I spotted JKR’s ‘absent-minded’ like on a tweet about men in dresses and it cemented her as an absolute legend for me.
Yes, I know this sounds like I’m a total kiss arse and you shouldn’t have heroes but I do and she’s JK Rowling.
They spent $75 billion fighting Iran, then another $300 billion rebuilding Iran, just to reopen the Strait of Hormuz that was already open before the war started.
USA the superpower 🤡🤡😂😂
There are fashions with which you may agree or disagree. The current fashion for numerous large tattoos, for instance. Some people like them, others hate them. In the UK it is illegal to tattoo someone under the age of 18.
Why?
Because minors often lack the maturity to make permanent decisions about their bodies, as tastes and preferences frequently change before reaching adulthood.
How about elective double mastectomies — that is, surgical removal of the breasts without any pathology?
For girls to have their breasts amputated is apparently perfectly fine, presented as marvelous by companies such as Lush and organisations such as Amnesty, which publish images of surgical scars in celebratory mode.
There is no conceivable justification for this macabre misogynistic campaign. Girls aged 16 and even younger are undergoing elective mastectomies in numerous places such as certain US states.
In the UK the legal minimum age for this type of surgery is 18, but some private clinics assess girls aged 16.
Mastectomies are sometimes medically necessary. Those concerned often find this loss traumatic.
Giving girls the idea that an elective mastectomy is a joyful thing - reinforcing a negative body image - is absolutely disgusting.
