@henrywinter Spot on. It doesn’t bear thinking about where Everton would be without him. He epitomises what we’re all about in the way Peter Reid did, Dave Watson did, Tim Cahill did, and Seamus Coleman does. Talent gets you half way, but spirit, desire, and commitment completes the package.
I’m having the first exhibition of my Everton photos this summer. It’s going to be at Walton Social Club on Church Road, L4 5TX. Come along, look at some photos, pretend to read the accompanying essays, and most importantly go downstairs and buy a pint.
29 and 30 June. 12pm-6pm
Full disclosure: Three Piggies, Allerton Road. I had a pint of MBH Mosaic Pale: a solid 6/10; it put a shift in without ever threatening to change the game.
Taking a well-needed two week break from work which affords time to ponder life’s big issues: every pub these days seems to have a cask fruit cider on (Lilley’s Mango where I am now) but I’ve never seen anyone order a pint of it, ever. Any good?
Would love those who run the great global showpiece that is the Premier League to explain how Odegaard got away with his handball v LFC while tonight Onana gave away a penalty. I don’t think it’s corruption, it’s just mind-boggling inconsistency and incompetence
This is not the sort of politics a Labour Party, confident of its own values and preparing to govern, should be engaged in. I say to the people who have taken the decision to publish this ad, please withdraw it. We, the Labour Party, are better than this.
@farmisonUK hi, would you be able to arrange a response to the various emails and WhatsApp messages I’ve sent to you regarding our Christmas food delivery due on Tuesday but which appears to have been lost by DPD. Many thanks!
MUSIC:
One for the Dylanologists.
The whole electric set, with his band, from the Liverpool leg of the ‘Blonde On Blonde’ Tour at the Odeon on London Road, 14th May 1966.
Enjoy.

@Sipperana We watched this a couple of months ago, when we were on holiday in the North East https://t.co/sc1qv5f7ZE The album soundtracked our drive to Holy Island.
@LilN1 @razzbingo Is Hereford Road still good - certainly used to be but I’m going back a bit (2013). It’s run by Tom Pemberton who was head chef at St John Bread and Wine. On the east side of Notting Hill , so less west!
Another Saturday, another masterclass from Tadej Pogačar in Italy. What a rider he is - is there anything he cannot do? Can’t wait to see if he can add Ronde van Vlaanderen to his palmarès next month. #TirrenoAdriatico
@lewisrids3 I don’t like those ones; 6 and 2 are essentially the same score. Much prefer when you have to figure out the single possibility - even then it can take me an age!
