86% of Americans disapprove of Trump’s threats to occupy Greenland.

But 30% of Republicans agree.

That 30% are the core MAGA base who reflexively agree with Trump on everything.

When he said in 2016 that “I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn't lose any voters,” that’s who he was talking about.

That cohort controls the Republican Party. Senators, Congressmen, and candidates are terrified of losing their primaries by going offside the core MAGA base.

It’s a perfect example of how a highly motivated minority faction can capture a party, and in turn a country.

With Trump now tearing apart NATO and launching economic war to seize allied territory, it is past time for normal Republicans to find a spine and stand up to the craziness.

@racheljludwig Thank you for sharing. She and my dad were diagnosed around the same time and just recently I wondered how she was doing. I only knew her through twitter but she was a giving and warm spirit even though the filter of technology. My condolences to her family and friends.

My mom died of ALS in 2018... my died died of ALS in 2021 after years of being her caregiver. When he was chairbound his final year, his only true joy was Blue Jays games. I'm not asking for anything, just saying if you have extra tickets, please give them to someone like my dad
