We went to Lepe today. Despite the sun keeping behind some clouds it was a lovely walk by the sea and through the country park. We finished, as usual, at the cafe with sausage rolls and bacon baps!

I'm quite pleased with this. We were given an amaryllis bulb for Christmas in 2023 which was in full bloom in March 2024, the second photo. I have looked after the bulb since then and it is in full bloom now, the first photo. 👍🤓

I was in the garden clearing up the blown down branches when I saw a couple of broken rhubarb stems. So I picked them and a couple of others and made, hopefully, the first of many this year.

The far end of Exbury Gardens opens out onto the Beaulieu River, almost opposite Buckler's Hard, so there is always water to enjoy.

The heather garden at Exbury is always lovely to see and it didn't disappoint today.
