Slow burn will forever be my kind of love. I love the idea of getting to know someone slowly, becoming friends first, building trust, creating memories, and letting feelings grow naturally.
i'm in love with this quote:
"if you're persistent, you'll get it. if you're consistent, you'll keep it. and if you're grateful, you'll attract more of it."
#mufc transfer window closed
My rating: ~3/10. One of the worst transfer windows I can remember in a long time. Given the context, I simply can’t rate it any higher. At some point during the drawn-out Ederson saga, I realised things were looking bad, but I tried to wait it out until the window closed. In the end, it turned out to be even worse than I predicted. The only positive is that we now have three new midfielders in the first team. That’s an upgrade on last season (although Case has left and Ugarte won’t be playing for quite a while).
But everything else (and there’s a lot of it) is bad. Imo, the club hierarchy’s approach to the transfer market was INCREDIBLY naive. They live in some kind of world of their own. They genuinely believe that every top player simply wants to die for United, costs half as much as they should and would be happy to take a small salary.
INEOS have no idea what kind of season awaits us. Or they are deliberately trying to instil a mid-table mentality, where simply miraculously qualifying for Europe at the end of the season is already considered a success. They have done absolutely nothing to make Carrick’s job any easier this season. They’ve turned Manchester United and its fans into people obsessed with money and financial gain. Many fans are already openly saying that simply fighting for CL spot is perfectly acceptable (while those same people will then yell Carrick out when it becomes clear that the team isn’t competitive).
INEOS are simply making easy deals with clubs they already have relationships with. And even then, they spend months just trying to pay what those clubs are asking for. It’s 2026, and we still have players like Maguire, Shaw and Dalot starting for us. The club has done nothing to resolve the Rashford situation, despite him apparently believing that he should only play for a “top European club”. Zirkzee has wanted to leave United for the 3rd consecutive season, but he’s still stuck in this mess, especially considering that, according to reports, next summer’s work “will be focused on the defensive line”. The coaching staff hasn’t changed, and apart from Holland, there isn’t a single coach with significant experience. By the start of pre-season, we had signed 1 player, and only 2 new players were ready to play in the opening game of the season. Once again, we weren’t prepared for the new campaign. The loans and academy player sales also raise a lot of questions.
I believe that at any major club, the people responsible for a transfer window like this would already have been sacked. The gap between United and the top clubs fighting for the top positions is growing in every area. Even outsiders like Ipswich and Hull look prepared and ambitious. In my opinion, INEOS simply don’t understand what kind of club this is. Since they arrived, they’ve behaved like amateurs. At least that’s the impression they give, because their actions resemble the management of some kind of factory or, at best ..a cycling team.
It will be almost impossible for Carrick to achieve anything this season. I feel sorry for him, but he’s not in a position to complain (which is exactly what INEOS wanted). After finishing 3rd last season, the next step should have been to try to finish second, especially considering that, for the first time in a long time, many of our major rivals are going through serious rebuilds. But our squad hasn’t improved - if anything, there are even more risks now. I don’t even want to think about the LB position.
Wilcox fans can gaslight me as much as they want, but I’m convinced the job has been done poorly, given the entire context. There are plenty of examples around us that we could learn from, yet we continue going around in the same circles as before. I absolutely cannot understand ordinary fans who are happy that their billionaire owners simply don’t give a shit about this club.
@OluwabusoreE Too exposed and you guys don't control matches
Your goals came from Brighton mistakes
Low-key giving Amorim vibes
Fingers crossed
No go Arsenal like that sha😂😭
@OluwabusoreE I legit was coming to ask you. Do you think you guys have been playing well?
Cus that Brighton team played on Thursday too and they still caused you guys trouble
Without a winger too
@Bolajiraji57956@AskMichaelTaiwo I considered it being Luthor too, but the last episode just made my Manhunter theory stronger
I don't think Bruce will randomly hand out alien tech either
GAMING FACT: The generation that stayed up until 3am to finish a game is the same one that can't find time to game anymore and it's actually really sad
