@dickens1298@SanchoValstein@Conservagator@ReubenR80027912 I’m an attorney now but I started at community college and transferred to sdsu. It’s a great option and saves 2 years of tuition and fees. Ca has pipelines set up for cc students to transfer to the UCs and Cal states. Highly recommend!
@Sr_Lazarus@_cat_turner Spot on. Los Angeles has the potential to be the greatest city in the world but it’s extremely bogged down by bureaucracy and stupidly thought out policies that block progress and actually hurt lower income folks. The street lamps comment from Padilla is a great example.
@RyanLEllis@GovLake@PNWSnowflake123@meredithllee@RepLuna There’s now caps on how much students can borrow across undergrad - PhD programs. My law school loans were 7% interest when I graduated in 2019. The only reason I was able to pay the principal down was because interest was frozen for 2.5 years. Anything over 3-4% is insane.
@mikealfred Yeahhhh I’m with him on dropping forward guidance. Made sense after 07/08 w/ Bernanke but it’s a different climate now. Let’s get back to actual free markets.
You don't move to NYC for the rent.
Not for the weather.
Not for the space.
You move because the density of ambitious people per square block is higher than anywhere else on Earth.
That's the whole product.
