Prospero's Cell is still, I believe, one of Lawrence Durrell's best books — is indeed, in its gem-like miniature quality, among the best books ever written.

I keep it handy for times when I seem to be forgetting the geniality of life.

Evening - I’ve only just got round to reading this! Quite apposite given the currents swirling AI technology at the moment.

Re-audio books used to listen to them when driving a lot - but much prefer the written word these days tbh

@BookDevon The book morphed into the film Blade Runner! He wrote around 50 books between 1955 to 1988 - an exceptionally inventive writer. His book the Man in the High Castle is a 5-season series on Amazon Prime - reading the titles of his books is entertaining in itself!
