Racists killed Stephen Lawrence. The police failed the family. On #StephenLawrenceDay, stand up against racism and corruption.
I will continue to raise his name in Parliament until we achieve the justice, equality and change his legacy demands.
Today, April 22 is Stephen Lawrence Day.🖤
33 years ago in 1993, Stephen at just 18 years was stabbed to death in a racist attack in Eltham, south east London. 🙏🏾
Today, we reflect on this death but more importantly we stand with his family and the Stephen Lawrence foundation to help build in his name for future generations.
As @sldayfdn have stated, this years theme is Every Future Needs a Foundation - to support young people and their ambitions.
Please support the Stephen Lawrence Foundation and their plans however you can.

Lou Macari has spent a decade helping the homeless in Stoke-on-Trent get off the streets.
While there are constant calls for Lou to be knighted and officially recognised for his extraordinary charity work, I know that he’s never been motivated by personal reward.
That’s why Lou Macari is a king among men.
Disturbed by the number of people sleeping rough, he set up a shelter offering emergency beds, food, and support – the project that became the Macari Centre.
A decade on, the Macari Centre has grown into an established local charity providing safe, short-term accommodation and practical help for people experiencing homelessness in Stoke-on-Trent.
"The sad thing is, nothing's improved,’ says Lou as he laments the plight of the homeless. “If I'm going to be honest, I think it's got a little bit worse.
"I think there are any number of causes. We probably didn't have the same problem 10 years ago, drug-wise, as there is now."

This video right here supports what Kompany said, he said there are many black players around the world facing racism but they have no voice, but Vinicius Jnr is brave and is in a position to speak out and fight against it
Just look at this video 😔

I know it’s 12:20. But please take your time and listen to this Vincent Kompany statement about the racism incident around Vini Jr. against Benfica. Succinct, differentiated and absolutely on point. Brilliant words.
