@ttmygh@DoombergT Thought of this wonderful podcast as I visited Bath Abbey today - and spotted this memorial plaque of Malthus himself (coincidentally on the anniversary date of his death). Surely the most influential person buried in Bath, yet a rather low key memorial.
@therobstoddard@ScottAdamsSays Coincidentally, Malthus died on this day in 1834… just happened to be in Bath Abbey today and (freakishly) spotted this memorial plaque:
@DickensFellowHQ Actually Date of Death is 29th Dec 1834… I happened to be in Bath Abbey today and, fortuitously found this plaque (extraordinary timing - given the date…)
DOTD - 23/12/1834 - Robert Thomas Malthus - thereby decreasing the surplus population. His 'Essay on the Principles of Population' was published in 1798.
@BecArmitage@luciastein_@lucysween All three of you put your name to this article, yet obviously lifted from a US website (spelling of tyres/tires, etc). @abcnews standards have more than slipped… talk about slipshod journalists/journalism!
@seatsixtyone@tfwrail Looks like tickets haven’t been loaded lately - nothing available anytime in the next week or the following (in fact, any…). Has #SailRail been disbanded @tfwrail ?
