SACKED ON CHRISTMAS EVE BY POST OFFICE LIARS
Alison Hall and her husband Richard Walker ran Hightown Post Office near Huddersfield. Small shop, off licence, National Lottery counter, the works. Business was good. Then the computer started lying.
@PostOffice ran its branches on Horizon, a Fujitsu-built (@fujitsu_uk) accounting system that had been throwing up phantom shortfalls since the day it launched. Nobody at head office felt like mentioning that part.
Alison Hall rang the Post Office helpline every time a "transaction correction" appeared out of nowhere. She was fobbed off.
So she used her own money to plug the gap, because that is apparently what running a small business teaches you to do when a multinational's software cannot count. The gap kept growing anyway.
She was audited and suspended in September 2010. On Christmas Eve that same year she was sacked. Season's greetings from Post Office.
She was threatened with theft. In 2011 at Leeds Crown Court she pleaded guilty instead to the lesser charge of false accounting, and her plea deal came with a condition attached.
She was not allowed to publicly criticise Horizon. A gagging clause, baked into a guilty plea, for a crime built entirely around a system nobody was allowed to question.
The sentence: a criminal record, 120 hours of unpaid work, the £14,842 she never actually stole ordered repaid anyway, plus £1,000 towards the cost of her own prosecution. Convicted, silenced and invoiced, in one tidy package.
10 years later, in 2021, the Court of Appeal quashed her conviction along with 38 others in the Hamilton judgment. Lord Justice Holroyde found that Post Office Ltd's handling of these cases was bad enough to be an affront to the conscience of the court. Turns out the software was the problem all along.
........ Who could have guessed, other than every subpostmaster who said so at the time and got prosecuted for it.
Solicitor Neil Hudgell (@NeilHudgell) of Hudgell Solicitors (@hudgellsol) helped clear her name along with dozens of others caught in the same scandal.
Alison Hall later gave a witness statement to the Post Office Horizon IT Inquiry (@PostOffInquiry) describing what a decade of fighting a wrongful conviction does to a family.
The government promised interim payments of up to £100,000 for people in her position. By 2024, years after her name was cleared, full compensation still had not landed.
She ran a post office.
The post office ran a lie.
She is the one who ended up with the criminal record.

On day one, a newborn's stomach holds about a teaspoon.
So a mother does not make milk yet. She makes a few teaspoons of thick yellow fluid over the whole first day, and every woman who has fed a baby remembers the panic of thinking that cannot possibly be enough.
It is exactly enough. His stomach on day one is the size of a marble, and by day three it has grown to roughly a cherry, so the volume shows up precisely when the room for it does.
What sits in those teaspoons is the part nobody explains. Ordinary breast milk carries around half a gram of antibodies in a litre. This carries between 50 and 100 grams. She is handing over her immune system, concentrated a hundredfold, in a dose that fits inside a marble.
Most of it is one antibody doing one job. It coats the inside of his gut and his airways, laying a film across every surface a germ would need to cross. He arrives with almost no defences, so for those first days he is running on hers.
It does a second job on the way through. The fluid works as a mild laxative, pushing out the dark first stool, which carries away the substance that turns newborns yellow. Feeding early lowers the chance of jaundice.
By day five it has gone, replaced by white milk in far larger amounts, and the window closes. She had a few days of a few days to hand over everything her body had learned about every infection she ever survived. She spent it four teaspoons at a time, convinced she was failing.

A cleric in Iran just announced that if a woman gets to choose her own clothes, then a man gets the right to rape her.
Do not scroll past that. Read it twice.
That is not a slip of the tongue. That is not a fringe opinion from the back of a mosque. That is Kazem Rohbakhsh an official worldview of the Islamic Republic of Iran, finally spoken without the mask.
For 45 years this regime has told women they are the problem. Cover yourself, or you "tempt" men. Dress modestly, or you "deserve" what comes next. And now the punchline, straight from the cleric's mouth: If you dare to be free, then we are free to sexually assault you.
Let me be clear about something.
That is the whole ideology of the Islamic Republic of Iran in one sentence. A regime so terrified of women that it believes your only choice is a headscarf or a predator.
So here is my answer to the mullah, in simple words:
Women don’t need to cover themselves to control men’s behavior. Men need to control themselves.
A woman's body is not a bargaining chip. Our freedom is not a crime. And your "right to rape" is not a right. It is a confession. A confession that your ideology is too weak to win a single woman's heart, so you must crush her body instead.
Islamists threatened Michaela School and its teachers with destruction, and the story is emblematic.
Michaela is the only free, non-selective school in Britain with academic results to rival Eton’s. No sports hall, no grass, no sports field, no car park - no space for a prayer room. So Muslim pupils pushed mobile prayer mats and prayers into the playground, pressurising others to join, intimidating and shaming pupils who did not, causing one girl to leave the choir because “music is haram”, coercing another girl into a hijab. Birbalsingh recognised a culture shift towards religious segregation, and moved to end it.
Teachers confiscated prayer mats, and a Muslim backlash ensued; there was an online petition against one teacher, violence and death threats, racist and misogynistic abuse, and a bomb threat, such that Birbalsingh banned all group prayer. Outrageous and real threats - but not surprising. The Batley Grammar RE teacher and his family are still in hiding, under police protection. Samuel Paty was beheaded outside his school in Paris.
One child, TTT, refused to comply, kept pushing that prayer mat into shared space, and was suspended twice for her rudeness, defiance and for threatening to stab another pupil.
That was just the warm-up. She and her mother, supported by an extended Muslim network crying Islamophobia, took Michaela to court on legal aid.
They claimed Muslim pupils need special treatment because the prayer regime is so exigent, and lost. The court found that banning prayers was proportionate to a legitimate aim, and TTT could change schools if she wished to pray.
The girl had told a classmate that she wanted to harm Michaela, warning, with the stab threat, not to tell anyone. Court upheld that suspension.
She could at any time have chosen a different school, her younger sister too. They didn’t, because they wanted the academic results - just not the discipline and fairness that were integral to them. It didn’t cost them a penny, but was very costly to taxpayers and Michaela’s funds, time and energy.
It is a story which exposes ugly truths about Islam’s destructive potential in Western institutions, and that even children will be used to disrupt the status quo and exert dominance, be taught not to abide by rules or assimilate but to claim special status, space and privilege, and shout, abuse, threaten violence, bombs and death if they don’t get what they want. And exploit the despised colonialist British taxpayer in their drive to bend the world to their wishes.
They got the opposite of what they wanted: a permanent ban on prayer at Michaela, and a warning for every other school.
There was a battalion in the Korean War that fought in more than two hundred battles and never lost one, that never had a single man taken prisoner, and that never once left a wounded or dead soldier behind on the field. Not one. They came from Ethiopia, and almost nobody in the West has ever heard of them.
When the United Nations called for help defending South Korea, one of the countries that answered was Ethiopia, sent by its emperor, Haile Selassie. And he did not send just anybody. He sent men drawn from his own Imperial Bodyguard, the elite palace guard, formed into units called the Kagnew Battalions, named after a famous war horse of the emperor's own family. Over the course of the war, more than three thousand Ethiopians served in Korea, half a world from home, in a frozen country most of them had never imagined.
What they did there is the stuff of legend, and the numbers are almost hard to believe. Across roughly two hundred and thirty eight engagements, the Kagnew Battalions never lost a battle. Not one defeat in the entire war.
But the truly astonishing part is the other statistic. Not a single Ethiopian soldier was ever captured by the North Koreans or the Chinese. In a war where thousands of prisoners were taken on all sides, where being captured was a constant reality, the Ethiopians simply never allowed it to happen. And it was tied to a code they held to absolutely. They never left a man behind, ever, alive or dead. If a soldier fell, his comrades brought him back, no matter the cost, even if it meant fighting their way back into enemy fire to recover a body. Because they refused to leave anyone, the enemy was never able to take anyone, and there were no Ethiopian prisoners and no Ethiopian missing. They accounted for every single one of their own.
That discipline earned them a fearsome reputation. American and other UN troops who fought alongside them were in awe. The enemy came to dread them. They fought right through to the end of the war, including in the brutal final battles like Pork Chop Hill in 1953. They paid for it, over a hundred killed and hundreds more wounded, but every one of those men came home to their unit, none left in enemy hands, none abandoned on a hill.
And then history mostly forgot them. The Ethiopian contribution to Korea is barely a footnote in most Western accounts of the war. Back home, later political upheavals in Ethiopia meant many of these veterans were neglected or even persecuted rather than honored. The men who never left a comrade behind were, in a sense, left behind by memory itself.
But South Korea has not entirely forgotten. There are memorials and gestures of gratitude to the Ethiopians who came from across the world to fight for a country they had never seen. A battalion of warriors who won every battle, lost no man to capture, and carried every single one of their own back home, and who deserve to be remembered far better than they are.
Sweden is officially trading screens and tablets for physical books and handwriting to reverse a decline in reading skills.
Once at the forefront of hyper-digitalized learning, Sweden is engineering a dramatic pivot back to the basics in its classrooms. Concerned that an overreliance on digital tablets and screens has eroded reading comprehension and foundational writing skills, Swedish education officials are investing heavily in traditional printed textbooks.
The national strategy aims to phase out digital devices for children under the age of six entirely, following a drop in international reading assessment scores.
Experts point out that while technology was championed to level the playing field, its unrestricted use has instead led to shorter attention spans and reduced retention among younger learners.
Scientific evidence strongly supports this retro transition. Research indicates that the physical act of handwriting activates complex neural networks governing motor skills, vision, memory, and language—cognitive benefits that are largely lost on a keyboard.
Furthermore, reading from a printed page provides critical spatial cues that aid comprehension, unlike digital screens that often subject students to cognitive fatigue and constant distractions. While computers and tablets remain valuable tools for research and collaboration, educators worldwide are watching Sweden's massive reinvestment in physical books as a potential blueprint for a more balanced, science-backed approach to modern schooling.

There is a policy document open somewhere this afternoon working out how to have fewer of her.
1931: Otto Warburg takes the Nobel for his work on how cells breathe. The observation he is better remembered for is simpler and stranger. Tumours ferment sugar. They do it greedily, they do it wastefully, and they do it with plenty of oxygen available, which no sensible cell bothers with.
If a tumour runs that hot on glucose, the obvious next question is what happens when you take the glucose away and run the patient on ketones instead. Healthy tissue has that gear. Warburg spent the rest of his life insisting the fermentation was the centre of the disease, and died in 1970 with nobody having run the trial.
Chemotherapy arrived, and chemotherapy had a feature the diet did not: a molecule you can own. You cannot file a patent on an empty plate. So the money went where the money could come back, which is not a conspiracy, it is an accounting decision made a thousand times over by people who never once said it out loud.
Thomas Seyfried at Boston College spent a career dragging the metabolic theory back up the beach and published Cancer as a Metabolic Disease in 2012. It is thorough, it is unanswered, and it is not on the syllabus.
Ninety-five years after the Nobel, the metabolic trials are still small, still scraping for funding, still described as preliminary.
Meanwhile the hospital trolley comes round the oncology ward carrying sandwiches, biscuits, fruit juice and a jelly, and this is filed under supportive care.
Eighty years ago the Dutch were starving. In the Hunger Winter of 1944, under Nazi occupation, people in the richest cities in Holland were boiling tulip bulbs to stay alive and burying twenty thousand of their own. Today the Dutch are the tallest people who have ever lived, and their government is paying their farmers to stop.
Those two facts are the same story. In a century and a half the Dutch went from the shortest people in Europe, around 166cm, to the tallest on earth, 184cm for the men, and they did it on the diet of a dairy nation: milk, butter, cheese and meat, in a country that decided never to be hungry again. The height is the transformation written into the bones of an entire people, the visible receipt of what happens when a nation finally feeds itself properly.
And they did it on almost nothing. A cold, wet, crowded scrap of reclaimed seabed smaller than Scotland became the second largest food exporter on the planet by value, behind only the United States, a country with 230 times the land. The most prolific farmers in human history, on the least promising ground in Europe.
That is the thing now being throttled. A nitrogen target, and the policy answer is to buy the best of them out and take the fields.
The farmers answered with tractors on every motorway, and then, in 2023, made a farmers' party the biggest in the country overnight. The same nitrogen rules that came for the cattle froze the building permits, so a nation desperate for houses now cannot build them either. Aim a policy at the people who feed you and you do not hit one number cleanly. You break the food, the politics and the housing in a single swing, and you are still importing the milk from somewhere that farms it worse.
A country that remembers real famine is dismantling the exact thing that ended it. This is the template, and it arrives at a field near you dressed in local clothes.
89-Year-Old FINED £100 For Not Having A Smartphone And REFUSING THE DIGITAL GRID!!
An 89-year-old man with a basic Nokia phone is fined £100 for failing to use a parking app in a cashless UK parking lot.
This is more than just one pensioner’s story, it’s a warning about the push toward a cashless society, digital control, CBDCs, and the loss of freedom to buy and sell without permission.

The truth is finally coming out about the mass killings in hospitals and care homes during ‘Covid’.
More brave health workers speak out.
The UK used Midazolam , the US used Remdesivir, France used Rivotril.
The result was always the same:- death labelled as Covid.
Demicide ?
They buried the truth and punished the messenger.
Bernice Eddy stood in a lab in 1955 holding the evidence: live polio virus still active in the Cutter vaccine lots. She showed the paralyzed monkeys. Officials released the shots anyway.
Tens of thousands of doses were injected and children paid the price in iron lungs and graves.
Years later she uncovered SV40—a cancer-linked monkey virus already injected into millions through the same vaccines. She raised the alarm again. They stripped her of her lab and her career.
The ones who warned were erased.
The ones who greenlit the risk kept the titles, the funding, and the power.
This is not ancient history... this is the operating system of the vaccine cartel industry.
Labour promised cheaper energy bills. Families are getting another hike instead.
From October the energy price cap will rise by 4%. A typical household will pay £1,723 a year - another £60.
STROKE, HEART ATTACK AND A FRAUD CONVICTION
Gillian Howard's husband had a stroke in 2010. Then a heart attack. He could not run New Mill Post Office in West Yorkshire anymore, so Gillian did it instead. Nobody gave her a medal for that. They gave her a criminal record.
A year later a computer called Horizon, built by Fujitsu @fujitsu_uk and used by the @PostOffice, said she was £45,850 short. Not stolen by a burglar. Not found in her handbag. Just a number a machine produced. She pleaded guilty to fraud in 2011 and got a six-month sentence. Nobody checked if the computer was actually right. Turns out it was not. It never is.
For 10 years she barely left the house. She called herself a recluse. That is not dramatic writing BUT is just what happens to a person after their government-owned employer tells the whole town they are a thief for a crime that never happened.
In April 2021 the Court of Appeal finally quashed her conviction. A year before that, the Criminal Cases Review Commission had already looked at the case and worked out the Post Office never should have prosecuted her in the first place. So a full decade of hiding, over money that was never missing, because of software nobody at the top wanted to admit was broken.
She told the Post Office Horizon IT Inquiry @PostOffInquiry in 2022 that she hopes the people who "destroyed myself and my family" are listening now. Bit late for that. They spent years not listening while she disappeared from her own life.
Gillian Howard stepped up for her family when nobody else could. The Post Office turned that into a criminal record and a decade of silence. It only found the truth once journalists, campaigners and a public inquiry dragged it there kicking and screaming.

I believe mandatory vaccines are the defining issue of our lifetime. Control over what goes into your body and your children's bodies is control over your freedom itself. There's no freedom left once that decision isn't yours to make anymore.
Bill Gates, Barack Obama, Klaus Schwab, the WHO, the World Economic Forum have all said the world needs a smaller population, and all of them have said vaccination is the answer. That is literally what they've said.
Here's my hypothesis. A vaccine passport that becomes so routine we stop asking what it's really tracking: your income, your vote, your health. Ask yourself if the person ahead of you in that line is getting what the billionaire behind you is getting, especially if you're young and poor and out of work. I believe this was never just about disease. I believe it was about who gets to have children, who stays healthy, and who lives a long life. Thats the kind of power authoritarians have always wanted over the rest of us.
