From all the species which have been on earth which is 99.9%, went extinct. Extinction is not an exception. It is the rule. We deeply think we will escape that because of our so-called intelligence which is exactly the reason at which we will go extinct as well.
Dinosaurs with a very tiny brain compared to the rest of their body survived hundred millions of years because they learnt to live alongside with nature and that worked. Humans with about 200k-300k,l of existence, we are already capable of destroying the earth about 5 times in a row. We keep living against nature because we keep remodelling nature as if we are gods.
With the arrival of AI, nature has never witnessed such destruction. But hey, we are going to survive the extinction of course...
I keep believing Anthropic acts like a real tyrant...they torment us for our own good because of course they know better than everyone else what will harm us or the entire society.
To my knowledge, this is one of the reason the Roman empire collapsed in its late stage under Diocletian and Constantine.
@AnthropicAI Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive... [T]hose who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. C.S. Lewis
@Cointelegraph In this over-hyped AI era, humans have never been that underrated in the entire history. We will pay one day for listening to fake leaders.
@paulbkimdev@theo That is why a lot of people are no longer capable of doing basic calculations. This is a real problem. My biggest problem with this AI hype is humans have been greatly underrated and also the so-called and marketed AGI as described today..which is not possible in this universe...
@miguelbranco80@theo I am not saying not to use AI...I am just saying people rely too much on AI and this is dangerous. This is because of the hype. My point is that since 2022, humans have been greatly underrated. But there is no free lunch. Relying too much on AI and you will pay somewhere else.
@JoeTalksAI@theo The problem is that a lot of people rely too much on AI because of the huge and almost never-ending hype. For me, AI and no matter the intelligence is still a tool and not a companion. Humans have been greatly underrated since 2022.
