Social media is breeding a very dangerous type of person en masse, and it’s the type of person who is truly unintelligent, lacks any real comprehension, refuses to see nuance or apply context clues to any situation, but will speak with authority on things they don’t understand.
Personally, admiration is like sitting on the middle of meadow, watching the subject of my affection (a doe) prancing around, doing what they do, while I watch and appreciate them. That if they choose to sit with me and rest, I will caress them with care.
Maybe it’s because im aromantic but isn’t feelings are for admiration? What you feel for the other person? Not what the other person can reciprocate or give back? Kasi kung ganon, is it love at all?
Instead of educating them what the “learned progressives” do is shame them. Yes, it’s tiring. Yes, it takes a lot of patience. But that’s the reality of wanting a better country. Wag mo sabihin na gusto mo ng mas maayos na pilipinas kung wala naman ang masa sa bersyon na yun.
Because it’s never about the country but for personal gain and comfort disguised as concern for the whole. They often forget that the country is the people. It is “nakakaawa ang pilipinas” until the majority of that pilipinas is not as “progressive” as them.
all the liberal Filipinos who tweet things like "binoto mo yan eh" in response to the struggles of working class people... just know that any movement that doesn't respect or utilize the power of the masses is a movement that's dead in the water. Over half of PH are poor/workers
everyone all for democracy and advocating for better living until its a farmer who voted differently than them. until its a fisherman who voted differently than them. until its the masses who voted differently than them. because to the arrogant, humanity must be deserved & earned
