Enjoyed marshaling at @pocketparkrun this morning. Had a lovely spot by the river and went for a delicious breakfast with the other volunteers afterwards. A lovely way to start the bank holiday weekend. ❤
Looking for something to do tomorrow morning and celebrate the 75th birthday of the NHS in conjunction with The @RoyalPapworth Hospital all here at @pocketparkrun here in St Neots - hoping to see as many as possible there tomorrow . Keep on keeping on running ……
The @pocketparkrun summer course on the banks of the River Great Ouse is one of the prettiest in the whole of parkrundom. Thank you to @huntsdc for keeping it so beautifully well maintained. #parkrun
Local running legend Rodrigo Santos incorporated Pocket parkrun into his 6th marathon in 6 days this morning while raising money for Motor Neurone Disease. He completes a week of marathons in Leeds tomorrow: https://t.co/Z6uTAxuykg
The stars aligned this morning when we had the whole Pocket parkrun core team volunteering together, having delivered over 30,000 5k runs for more than 6000 runners.
Reports are coming in that A8000000 (the 8 millionth registered parkrunner) has Pocket parkrun as their NENDY (and therefore probably their home run too). 🤞
@Becky_E_Morris You are very welcome Becky - you can run or walk as much as you like, there is no pressure to set a fast time. We can’t wait to see you.
Unfortunately we had a runner collapse at the finish of Pocket parkrun who later required ambulance attention. Luckily we had a paramedic and an NHS Nurse at the finish who were able to provide immediate attention, until the ambulance arrived (thank you Ian and Becky).

The runner has been taken to hospital, accompanied by family members. Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery. Thank you to everyone who helped, our wonderful NHS, and our level headed volunteer team who calmly executed a response to our first proper emergency (especially Jo as RD).
