Today, the Government have yet again gone on the attack by singling out Disabled people as a burden on the benefits system.
Utterly untrue, but we continue to be the whipping community for ALL government economic failure.
Enough. This is just cruelty.

The work & pensions minister says the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) is "thousands of pounds a month"
If you qualify for the higher weekly rate & get the mobility part you get £184.30 per week, which works out at £798.63/month. So you don't get thousands of pounds a month

This week we made closing submissions with other Disabled People’s Orgs #CovidInquiryUK, noting Disabled ppl were invisible in pandemic planning. The next day, the Govt decided there should no longer be a dedicated Minister for Disabled people. Their actions speak volumes 🧵
At the #CovidInquiryUK today, after offering a hollow and meaningless apology Boris Johnson fails to take any responsibility and instead chooses to blame the dead.
Any legislation that attacks the universality of human rights sets a dangerous precedent for everyone. Disabled migrants exist and they will face additional barriers and rights abuses.
We're proud to stand with these 174 orgs to oppose the Illegal Migration Bill.
