@conradioshow They don’t let you take a driving test here in a manual anymore. Had to borrow a car for my son’s, he could fully operate a ‘67 MF 175 with loader at 8 yrs, but parallel parking is so difficult, the testers can’t stand to watch someone working a clutch.

It’s most likely the ports in the emulsion tube, a good cleaning will fix it. Just use the China carb to get the time to clean and rebuild the good one.

@conradioshow order the Chinese carb. It’ll run long enough to be able to clean the original carb in one of those fancy new cheap ultrasonic cleaners. Or find an old man that still has the carb cleaner in a paint can. Not this, it has to be at least as old as you are to be good.

Go ahead and get the fuel pump too, that’s not the problem, but, it never hurts to have a known good one around. They will gravity feed through the diagram while good. Vacuum line that drives it goes bad more often than the pump.
