@joshfolkins @Maidanon @GrzesiekZ78 @chess_xray @xxChessMaster The rook can only leave the back rank if it comes with check, but all its available back rank squares are either defended by the pawns (ending with a capture with promotion and checkmate) or blocked by the pawns from leaving the back rank. So king can freely run to support pawns.

@KaytwoJcl9652 @PixelShaun Yeah, I played all versions of 2 and really like both the remakes (not OG 2 itself, at all), but we're talking the critical path here. Most Super players probably skipped 2 originally, like you and I did, and it's fine. They can go back later if they want.

[PogiJones @PogiJones]

@PixelShaun @KaytwoJcl9652 The beginning of Super completely summarizes the events of 2, so you're absolutely correct to exclude it. Yes, the story of 2 is important, but also easily summarized in like three sentences in Super. Your list is a good path.

@GenePark A lot of people see you as one of the best voices in gaming, even when we disagree with you. Don't let haters get to you.

[PogiJones @PogiJones]

@SlLENTPRINCESS The fact that the Sun's Song is played slightly flat is gonna drive me crazy. Only thing bugging me about this masterpiece.

[PogiJones @PogiJones]

@lthlnkso In contrast, pretty much everyone will have an idea in their head of what "financially successful" means, and she will universally fulfill any idea that anyone has of that. That would be an objective measurement.

[PogiJones @PogiJones]

@lthlnkso You have an idea in your head of what "good" means. Other people have different, incompatible ideas in their heads of what "good" means. That, by definition, means that what qualifies as good is subjective, not objective. I think she's good. Subjectively.

[PogiJones @PogiJones]

@Mookafish I can see it both ways, but in reality the 3D model is spinning counterclockwise, which you can deduce by pixel counting the stem as it faces the camera. It looks very slightly bigger when it's facing toward the camera than when it's facing away.

[PogiJones @PogiJones]

@lthlnkso @jk_rowling *project more strength, I mean [first tweet]

[PogiJones @PogiJones]

@lthlnkso @jk_rowling Objective means that the person performing the measurement is (ideally, sans mistakes) irrelevant to the outcome of the measurement. That's not the case with "a good author." That is a subjective statement, because what qualifies as a good author changes from person to person.

@Cedrik1699 Spoiler Continued -- Point is, if you think they might come back like I did, it removes some of the impact and drama. But if you know it's final, those moments can affect you properly.

[PogiJones @PogiJones]

@Cedrik1699 Spoiler but I recommend reading it because it makes the game better knowing it:
.
.
.
.
.
All deaths are final. The game structure makes you think people might come back, but then they just...don't. There's no big revelation. I just finished the game and thought, "Oh, guess not."

[PogiJones @PogiJones]

@MightyKeef Overall, TotK is much better. But BotW has better and more rewarding climbing, because it's way too easy in TotK to get virtually unlimited altitude. So climbing to a mountain peak means less and feels more trivial.

@Marcodmeatball Those dissonant chords melt like butter into every crevice of my brain. Stunningly beautiful.

[PogiJones @PogiJones]

@CHiCOACE You are incredible, genius composers. If you're truly not working on Xenoblade Genesis, that will be a real shame.

[PogiJones @PogiJones]

@Marcodmeatball It does lose a lot of personality when, instead of having specific characters interacting with other specific characters, you get a generic dialog box representing your current party talking to the character you're picking up. This issue persists up through the final boss.

[PogiJones @PogiJones]

@AkiraToriyama I say this to both left activists and to right activists: men and women are different. Gender swaps to make a point are rarely relevant. You can't acknowledge they're different for one cause and then pretend they're the same when it suits your other cause.

[PogiJones @PogiJones]

@SuperSavajin @dugtrioramen I adore X. But to me, Ch. 13 was just connectionslop. Compare it to 3, where the connections were just there. But in X ch. 13, all the characters kept essentially looking into the camera and saying the actual words, "It's all connected." Over and over. Connectionslop.
