IMO, the only stakeholder for a meetup is the team. Their experience (and buy-in) is everything. Global teams bring such rich & diverse perspectives & ideas - always leverage that for meetup planning!
Maybe this could have been another consideration in the post!
At @float we are 100% remote, but it doesn't mean that we don't value time together IRL.
