@vrulg@ucu If I withdraw from my degree that means I’ve spent £20k+ for nothing, not to mention the whole reason im upset with these particular strikes is because it’s impacting my education, I stand with the lectures! I have worked hard for my degree I don’t want strikes to throw that away
@uraisg@KwongCaleb@StevenC13723287@ucu You’re literally not listening to anything I’ve stated. Even under the exact tweets you’re replying to. You’re obviously very closed minded and ignoring, just because you’re supporting a good cause right now doesn’t mean your not acting like a rude person
@uraisg@KwongCaleb@StevenC13723287@ucu I’m simply stating that this tactic is damaging students more than anyone else, including the uni and that’s not fair. I’m allowed to be frustrated from missing 65% of my course and Uni’s and the union should acknowledge that
@uraisg@KwongCaleb@StevenC13723287@ucu Ok i don’t have the time to listen to you insult me even when I’m politely expressing my valid points. You’re not helping anyone. The reason these strikes are happening are because lecturers are unhappy, therefore students can also express that they are not happy with the results
@uraisg@KwongCaleb@StevenC13723287@ucu Spread out the strikes more evenly, make an agreement that includes reducing the impact on students who aren’t involved and have no voice, or changing tactics to directly affect managers and not stop our education!
@uraisg@KwongCaleb@StevenC13723287@ucu Actually I explained how OTHER students are extremely busy. Yet I am spending my time complaining to the uni, and spreading this frustration on Twitter the same way you have the time to. I’m also doing assessments and a job, but I want to make my voice heard
@uraisg@KwongCaleb@StevenC13723287@ucu I have complained to my uni, but our frustration should also be made aware to union as they are the ones taking the action that is damaging our quality of education and wasting thousands of students money
@uraisg@KwongCaleb@StevenC13723287@ucu If you can’t understand that students are allowed to be frustrated as they aren’t being taken into consideration with these strikes then you are the one that needs to be educated. My age has nothing to do with my intelligence, and I don’t whine be more respectful
@uraisg@KwongCaleb@StevenC13723287@ucu Literally under the same tweet, don’t be so rude. You should know that insulting people gets no where, thats why I’m trying to explain my frustration to the union by explaining in detail how these strikes affect students. I’m not name calling!!
@uraisg@KwongCaleb@StevenC13723287@ucu If you actually read any of my tweets you’ll see that I have already complained to the uni and am trying to spread the info so more students can. I have also received firsts in all my assignments as I work my damn hardest to get good grade, when I pay so much. Learn some manners!
@KwongCaleb@StevenC13723287@ucu The sad truth is that many students are struggling through assessment season right now, as well as tackling part time jobs. Many don’t have time to complain and many are also unaware of how badly these strikes will affect out studies as the uni’s are being very hush hush
@niamhnotneeve@adastra117@ucu Students are allowed to be frustrated here. If the uni managers don’t accept and the union goes forward with the strikes then students have to still pay £9,250 to the uni and then not get taught 65% of our courses! We get punished both times!
@adastra117@ucu We aren’t self absorbed but fed up. We struggled through covid, not being taught properly for my entire time at college. Then come to uni only to be majorly impacted by strikes. There must be a better way to go around this without affecting 65% of our courses.
