@karasigotyo Or pistols (In the Indian Army it was Browning Hi-Powers) and if they were knocked down or out by a shell blast or otherwise they could get back their sidearm by pulling on the lanyard and not be defenceless in battle.
@karasigotyo This is a ‘lanyard’ attached to a ring in the butt of a pistol or revolver. This was used in some armies, including notably in the same format, in the British Army in WW1 and WW2, and in the British Indian Army. This is because officers were only issued with revolvers….
Huh, turns out there was a Kiwi spying for Japan in Malaya, WW2. He was held in Singapore but when the Japanese got closer, this stupid loser starts to taunt his guards that soon he'd be free and they prisoners
So they just took him to the harbour and shot him in the head lmao

@JMilei With respect - the smart thing is to land a few thousand civilian Argentines - then send Argentine troops to support them. The playbook is right there. If you can’t manage this, you lot can’t be helped.
The MOD are losing control of their junior and senior NCOs with this BS being forced upon them! We have well and truly been comprised at the highest level… The ranks are unsettled and this is never a good sign! Change has to happen from within if we want to save our country! 🫡🇬🇧
@RupakChatto And then the South Vietnamese and Americans, and the BAJARAKA kept on fighting the Vietnamese Govt. The Vietnamese Govt has ensured the Kinh majority are THE voice of Vietnam. Is this the example we want to emulate in India?
@RupakChatto Well put - but Vietnam is neither a federal nation nor a diverse nation - socialist Vietnam has been nothing short of brutal in reducing its minorities to dance show mantelpieces. There’s a reason the Montagnards (umbrella term but pardon me) sided with the French (1/2)
