#1: Washington Wizards - AJ Dybantsa, W, BYU
Grade: A
The Wizards land their franchise player, and AJ certainly looks the part
He’s incredibly refined as a scorer with elite physical tools and explosive verticality
Has the makings to be a high-end perimeter creator and three level scorer for the next decade+
Superstar upside

Do dynasty rankings work?
We are well within the era of easy content, and I am all for it.
We are getting more and more dynasty and fantasy tools/rankings/sites appearing in the market and we may soon become flooded in it (that goes beyond just this space... but lets not dive into those waters.)
However, the more I see, or the more I work on my own, the more I sit and think about how the whole idea of rankings in dynasty is flawed.
When you’re ranking 500+ players... they simply can’t possibly all exist on the same list...
“Player X is ranked higher than Player Y”
Because he is better?
What are we actually ranking?
Market value?
Production value?
Ceiling value?
Longevity value?
Category scarcity?
Trade value?
Roster fit?
And are we all ranking the same idea here, are we even ranking the same idea for different players within the same list?
A ranking asks us to take completely different forms of value and compress them into a clean number.
Pretending all managers are asking the same question.
Instead of asking:
“Where does this player rank?”
We should be asking:
“What type of value does this player actually hold?”
Perhaps as you delve into the new era of rankings, you may get more value by first asking yourself:
Team context:
What is the goal?
When can you reach it?
What does my team need to achieve it?
Player context:
What am I holding?
What does the market believe?
What is the pathway to providing value?
Can I use him?
Can I trade him?
Can I afford to wait?
Im not going to pretend this is some profound thought... But maybe challenge yourself to find value where others do not, or challenge yourself on how you have been perceiving value?
Thats a challenge I'd like to undertake myself at least.
@rruetigger@pointmadebball@PointMadeEvan Yep GSW could be a great landing spot. Feel like they would be able to really utilise his unique passing abilities.
One of the main reasons I like him so much is the out of position passing skills.
@rruetigger@pointmadebball@PointMadeEvan Little bit lower on him outside of the fantasy landscape but still have him in that 3rd tier just a bit lower down.
For fantasy though we see it so often, these big dudes just produce for fantasy especially when taken high up in the draft.

Sean Sweeney is known as a defensive mastermind and brilliant culture setter
Defense and culture doesn’t always win fantasy championships, but it can certainly win real ones
Excited to see Sweeney (hopefully) take an endlessly-promising Magic roster to the next level
BREAKING: The Orlando Magic are finalizing the hire of San Antonio Spurs associate coach Sean Sweeney as the franchise's new head coach, sources tell ESPN. Sweeney broke into NBA coaching in 2011 and now lands the Magic head job as a top rising candidate.
Thanks for tapping in and stepping behind the curtain for a minute
Enjoy tomorrow night’s WCF game 7. I hope the Spurs get retribution for my beloved Pacers
Make sure to follow along with @pointmadebball forever and always, but especially throughout the rest of these playoffs

We may have some offseason content coming to review the past season. We’ll definitely start prepping for next season, too. Both of those things will likely happen hand-in-hand
We’re going to come back just as strong as we were before. I hope you’ll keep following along as we do
