I try to avoid political discussions here (outside of a certain Pokémon movie), but if you want to make a difference going forward, there’s a great little organization called the American Civil Liberties Union: https://t.co/BhXXoHs0yW
Thanks to the new custom playlist thumbnail feature on YouTube, I can finally make the sacrilegious INXS playlist of my dreams: https://t.co/m3SYeBc6SO @INXSpod#pokemon#music
This Saturday at 8pm central, @PikapiPodcast and I will be covering the music of Pokémon Go. This still-active mobile game has quite a soundtrack-do you have a favorite? https://t.co/rfqJgRmwNb
@JoseOrichalcum @HarrisonKlekar I showed that footage to Michael Haigney, and he didn’t recognize it, but it was dubbed for the ‘99 western release. I suspect the decision to cut it was made by WB, either based on MPAA concerns, time, or test audience feedback.
@JoseOrichalcum BTW, many of those rough edges (the mind wipe, long interstitials in the short, even the “fighting is wrong” to an extent) originate from the Japanese version.
@JoseOrichalcum I actually didn’t like it much when I originally saw it (I definitely prefer 2000), but I appreciate it more now. I typically refer to it as a “good and bad” move. Not “good bad” movie, but rather a film which does some things very well, but also has significant rough edges.
Trainers get your decks ready! Our Pokemon League Challenge is this Saturday! Registration starts at 10 am, the event starts at 11. Entry is $10.

@Talim_AI To be fair the score album is pretty hard to get since it hasn’t been on digital services since the 00’s and physical versions are quite rare.
@davedevadave@DiscussingFilm Reading through the article, in at least some cases, they’re using various techniques to parse through online noise and determine if something is the tip of the iceberg or floating styrofoam.
@INXS For something that was (presumably) recorded in standard definition, this seems like it's in pretty good shape. Props to whatever archive you got it from.
@TSFTMpod have you ever considered doing a spinoff “That song with that music video”? If you consider early sound films you can go back about 100 years now.
So, on the weekend of the 14-15th, I attended the first MadEX convention here in Madison. Here's a report on some of my experiences: https://t.co/YH979ZfoYf
@JuniperGreen162@KaiserNeko@sakugazx Reminds me of some of the criticisms of the TNG Star Trek movies (particularly Generations and Insurrection) that they didn’t feel like enough of a step up from the TV show.
@lonerdyx @inquirerdotnet Not to imply they weren’t talented or anything, but ever notice how well the name of the band fits with the legendary Pokémon in the movie?
