Mentioned this diagram of consistency models to @nearestnabors at tea last week and figured I'd blast it out rather than DM the link because I'm obsessed with it https://t.co/tvTkew3bjj
Had a great time at FoC London last week, thanks @Mappletons for organising!
Loved the talk from @PokeyRule and my friend @caseorganic who wrote her talk in a notebook minutes before being called up. Enjoyed meeting @TodePond and @jryans among many others. Let’s do it again!!!
> I think wrong mental models are often extremely useful
This idea was a revelation for me. Let's not let pedantry impede pedagogy https://t.co/4ByPspaGc8 @b0rk
@Think_42 Yeah fair point. I discussed it a bit in https://t.co/0VdiYGFVa8, but agree not best spot. Maybe in our GitHub wiki? That’s where we tend to keep that kinda thing
@unstubbable I can confirm that 8 months on, it’s still working well for us 😊. In case helpful, I discuss this decision and more in my Cursorless monorepo walkthrough https://t.co/NdfEjS3uBE
@eyewarebeam @GoCursorless Talon ships with eye tracking support, and many of our users do in fact combine cursorless with an eye tracker! So you’re definitely not wrong that there’s lots of synergy there 😊. I’ll refer you to @lunixbochs about whether a Talon / @eyewarebeam integration could make sense
"say hello" to the Talon 0.4 release: ported app from Qt/C++ to Rust, all-new Conformer D speech model, better eye tracking, gamepad support, more!

@PokeyRule like Captain Kirk controls all aspects of the software & hardware that powers any device he’s using. Biggest difference between Kirk & Pokey? Pokey can crochet while he’s using a device. How? It's called Cursorless & it's a healthier way to code

“...a dominant narrative can suffocate innovation,” says @PokeyRule as he explains why he created Cursorless -- a spoken computer language. Read to see why Cursorless just might be able to eliminate employment discrimination.

@0x_eddie@yacineMTB Whether it will obsolete keyboards is a good question. I definitely prefer voice, but it does mean I can’t do my work in a library 😄
@0x_eddie@yacineMTB Yeah coding by voice is great. Feel free to check out my YouTube channel if you’re curious to see what it looks like in practice https://t.co/8PdA0G7Uif
