The delegates adopted many clauses, submitted by countries including , @Iceland submitting 3, @Canada, @Finland, @Norway, @Sweden, @ICC submitting 5 and RAIPON submitting 5. These clauses all together adds up to 17 clauses added. Well done delegates for that rapid turnaround!!

As day two closes here at #NORMAC10 the delegates and secretariats sit together for a wonderful meal at the assembly house, where they also hear from Austrian 🇦🇹 diplomat Alexander Kmentt, who provides a speech full of knowledge on the topic of nuclear threat. @ArcticCouncil
The delegates at #NORMAC, have made the decision to fall into informal discussion and returned with the idea of postponing the most recent clause presented. Additionally the delegates decided to entertain and pass USA’s clause.

The model @ArcticCouncil have now begun the pre-ambulatory clause for “Supporting Youth Engagement in Arctic Government” the first presented clause is from @MFAIceland on technology implementation.

Another clause passed by the @ArcticCouncil!! And now he delegates have broken into informal discussion to clarify whether to switch from the issue of invasive species to the issue of engaging youth in arctic governments. @arcticyouth@ArcticCouncil

Another 2 clauses added!! @Finland introduced the idea of drone surveying of non native species and with the support of AIA this clause was passed. @Canada encouraged the @ArcticCouncil to find areas affected, and research sterile insect techniques, amended by the ICC
After the delegates returned to their seats, it was declared that the USA’s clause should be postponed. Which led to the introduction of Iceland’s operative clause on “Spread of Invasive Species”.

After many amendments to @StateDept (USA’s) operative clause, on temporary food industries, by the AIA and Russia, the delegates have broken into informal discussion to refine this clause further.
