We must learn to lose before we can learn to win and dreams can come true, sometimes they just take a little longer! Family 1st, Hockey 2nd, then the rest......
"You dont know what turns your life is going to take and sometimes its a beautiful turn."
Last year #Canes traded for Mikko Rantanen hoping he could put them over the top. Taylor Hall was quietly also in that deal & he was the one that wanted to stay & made all the difference
It’s ok to move on from a coach
Sometimes a different/new voice is needed
Look at Vegas, 3 Stanley Cup Finals with 3 diff coaches
Bednar was great and did amazing things in COL but these Avs need a spark & they’ve already played the trade a piece of the core card #GoAvsGo
@OldfordRyan The other thing; they get a breakaway and score. We get a breakaway and don’t and then another partial break and don’t, both from Nelson. You gotta cash your opportunities. 7 goals in 4 games isn’t getting you far
Feel for Brent Burns because we asked more of him than he could give and he gave it his all and while he was far from perfect; especially in our end, he showed up every night. Also props to Blackwood because he was the only reason we had a chance tonight
@OldfordRyan I dunno what you do honestly in a series like this; I believe they outworked us but their commitment to defence was next level; always 3 back, sometimes 4 protecting the net. It’s tough and we just caved. My only possible solution was to bring the forwards back and breakout as 5
First off; props to the VGK cuz they wanted it more than us in every facet of the game. Props to Torts cuz he outcoached Bednar from start to finish. The window is closing and other than Tampa in ‘22 I don’t know if the Avs have ever beaten a legit team. We don’t know how to win

Only 1 of the 16 playoff teams wins the cup. Can't be the Avs every year. With a coach that doesn't adjust or light a fire under his players, the @Avalanche will never win the cup again. Thanks Bednar but your time is done.
@LucaCelebre21 It’s got nothing to do with grit or physicality; it’s all mental. I don’t know why but this team just waits for something to go wrong, for the wheels to fall off and when it starts noone knows how to stop it. Like I’m sure we have good leadership but how often have we seen this?
@OldfordRyan That’s part of the problem; what has the coach done to adjust? A coach is supposed to motivate. The pp has been a disaster and cost them again tonight. A coach with a team like this should be able to manage a 3 goal lead in a must win game but here we are.

The Avs just don’t want it as bad as the VGK; it’s that simple. You can blame the coach (fair), you can blame the goalie, you can blame the injuries, you can blame the officiating but at the end of the day, they want it more than we do.
