Most Americans don’t understand what socialism is.
It’s not universal healthcare.
It’s not affordable housing.
It’s not what Nordic countries do.
Confusion is making socialism appeal to those who never lived it.
People who have, reject it.
@esjesjesj Well, AI companies purchased copies of books to use for the purpose of developing information systems. ISIS looted and destroyed historical monuments for religious reasons. So, pretty different!
The DSA-left is going to costs us two senate seats and a governorship, and honestly that maybe what needs to happen to wake up party leadership and democratic voters. These little games we’ve been playing, not taking things seriously is going to cost us, but ultimately we did this to ourselves.
Frightening (and likely even scarier to the median voter) that the leading Democratic nominee for Wisconsin Governor cannot give a straight up answer on police abolition.
Emma sweetheart, you are not getting off that easy.
Not only did you believe his lies and let this man gaslight you politically, you attacked people who had common sense and two eyes and could see the warning signs from a mile away.
I do not need to be paid, and I certainly was not paid, to get on TV and say that as a Black girl who comes from two working-class immigrant parents and grew up in the South, I do not believe a white man with a Nazi tattoo and a history of allegations about aggressive behavior toward women is going to connect with real working-class voters.
Do you know why? Because working-class people have values. They work hard for what they have. They dream of giving their kids a better life than the one they grew up with. They do not stoop down for every shiny penny.
You were so wrapped up in your hatred for the Democratic Party that you backed a candidate who has now put us in a worse position to gain the Senate majority.

It’s metastatic bone cancer that spread from the prostate. They caught the bone issue quite early and with radiation and hormone therapy it’s under control, but he will live with cancer for the rest of his life. Listen man- I understand if you don’t like my Dad’s politics and you hate me because you believe everything Fox News has told you. I’m fine with that, but my Dad has cancer. How is that an issue you want to attack. What sickness is in you that makes that fair game Patrick.
My ideology is so smart and sophisticated, that's why it has never succeeded anywhere on Earth, while your globally successful ideology is actually naive and incoherent. That makes perfect sense to me.
Born a year after Edwin Hubble discovered that our Milky Way galaxy was just one of countless other galaxies that populate the universe.
Smart, kind, and gentle. Not sure if they make 'em like that anymore. RIP Jimmy Carter (1924 - 2024).
I don’t love the FAA, but I feel for them here. They’re being asked to explain something that – as far as they’re concerned – doesn’t exist & didn’t happen.
“What is happening in the sky? We demand answers!”
FAA: “Ok, can you show us what you saw?”
“Here! This light!”
FAA: “Oh, that’s an airplane. It’s on approach to EWR”
“What about this one?”
FAA: “Well, Governor, that’s the Orion Constellation. It will be there tomorrow night, too, and every night after”
“Fine. But you can’t explain this!”
FAA: “Actually, that’s a helicopter. When we clean up the video, you can see the…”
“Shoot them down!”
FAA: “What the…shoot what down?”
“I don’t know, just shoot one down so we can find out”
The FAA is in kind of an impossible position. Sure, some secret drones may exist. Maybe they even flew in NJ at some point. But as far as the FAA are concerned, every video is either an airplane, star, planet or proves to be faked / altered. They’re tasked with finding something that essentially doesn’t exist, and people assume they have some magic radar that tracks every object in the sky all the time…like they can go back & figure out which bird was flying on Tuesday at 9:00 & where it has built its nest.
It doesn’t work like that. If you’re the FAA, you’re exasperated that the press keeps hyping this stuff up when they really should know better.
(It’s the planet Venus, by the way)
This is awesome.

“It’s not just another game.”
“This will be a game you never forget.”
