Ahead of the 2027 General Elections, we developed a National Roadmap for Countering Electoral Disinformation in Kenya.
The roadmap provides a framework for preventing, detecting and responding to electoral disinformation in Kenya and safeguarding constitutional rights. #NetSafi
It was an honour to host @TheElders delegation with Kenyan youth for an intergenerational dialogue on climate & nature, conflict, multilateralism, human rights and gender, technology & AI. Founded by Nelson Mandela, @TheElders continue to champion peace, justice & sustainability.
What is #BahariSafi and why does this matter to us?
Early this year, we took a bold, giant step to recycle organic waste along the coast and create organic compost and chicken feed that could be used by smallholder farmers in Kilifi County.
@kenaff_farmers@KilifiCountyGov
Over the past month, through our project #BahariSafi funded by UMI Fund, we have recycled over 200KGs of organic waste in Dabaso (Kilifi County) and harvested 10KGs of frass.
We also began using the compost created in our community farm to plan spinach, ocean and green pepper.
Our Research Officer @ayien_tevvy will be live tonight at @Y254Channel to share about our groundbreaking study on youth political participation and what actions stakeholders need to take to advance inclusive participation and fight misinformation.
Last month, we began our project #BahariSafi in Kilifi County on recycling organic waste using Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae to create compost for community farms. Through the kind support of UMI Fund, we are advancing sustainable waste management and climate-smart agriculture.
We are privileged to be a recipient of the Youth Empowerment Fund (YEF) grant by @gymobilization to implement our Tukuze Shambani project, where we shall be empowering young smallholder farmers to increase yields sustainably.
