So this is how the character turned out. I didn't run into any major rigging issues, surprisingly. I think she's finally ready for some pilot animations.
Sometimes it's tough to find good animation references, but I stumbled on a goldmine. There's an open dataset, the Bandai-Namco-Research-Motiondataset, on GitHub. You can plug it straight into Blender and use it as a handy reference.
Somehow, the second I started learning animation, I got thrown into making animations for an actual indie game. ๐ญ
