It's vital to be realistic about how long the editing process takes. An editor can't get through your 150k-word manuscript in a week. It's just not possible. And you don't want someone to try to make it possible. You're paying for quality support, not a quick service.

The fact that I still have to push back against misogynistic character descriptions in some writers' books in 2026 is horrifying. Can we please move on from the "need" to describe the male MC's wife as "vivacious" so the character "would be more photogenic"? 🤦‍♀️

If you don't like trigger warnings as a reader, just skip them. Just because you don't need them doesn't mean other readers don't. Also, as a writer, it's your responsibility to give your readers a heads-up regarding sensitive topics. They're only spoilers if you provide context.

I purged:
- Bot accounts
- P0rn accounts
- Anyone inactive for over two years
- Anyone supporting MAGA (or similar groups/people)
