@hereagaindsmn@seuIgifilm I mean if Venetia wasnt a grown ass woman, sure, i'd get your point. It's the child part that im questioning. Not just her deciding to exploit other women.
iwtv definitely has the most INSANE visual chemistry with each couple. they all look so good with their partners..... each outfit and skin tone and hair color contrast perfectly.
@Jackoweme Hey, I’m going to end the convo here. Not understanding the abusive reasoning behind the nonconsensual blood drinking and the drop in 1x05, portrays a fundamental misunderstanding of the entire show. Hope you like s3 tho!🙏🏿

@ImmaculaRN Well, it’s clear if you listen to the words coming directly out of Louis’ mouth during the scene. Also once again, you cannot consent to sex in a relationship you cannot physically leave omg. This fandom is scaring me. This is consent 101😭
@syakgae Hey so, you can’t consent when you can’t physically leave a relationship. He has Antoinette stalking them when he’s not around so if they try to leave he can stop them. It’s how Lestat knew that Claudia was on the train. If Louis was with her, he would’ve brought them both back.
@sillygooseL2T@upyrs_ Keep in mind, LouClaudia aren’t able to actually leave Lestat. Claudia is trying to convince Louis to escape with her because she recognizes that they have no autonomy. He has Antoinette stalking them in case they try to escape. If you can’t leave, there’s no consent possible.
@Drying_leaves The lying. The constant cheating. The lying about the cheating. Him being very controlling over them both. Later in the same episode he kidnaps Claudia. Do you think if Louis tried to leave Lestat would actually let him?
@Drying_leaves Like I’m not trying to be rude but who gaf about how Lestat is feeling in this scene😭? Lestat’s abused Louis so bad he can’t even be mentally present when they have sex. That feels more important than Lestat feeling sad. He feels abandoned because he’s abusing his loved ones.
@Drying_leaves It’s extremely common for people to go back to their abusers many times. Louclaudia are talking because she wants him to ESCAPE their abuser. Lestat is actively abusing them. Abusing them so bad they decide they have to kill him(which Lestat lowkey agrees with)
@prettydulac Its also helpful to consider the previous episode where there’s tension because Louis doesnt want sex. Lestat’s resentment about that partially fuels the unconsensual blood drinking and the drop. Their relationship has deeply uncomfortable elements. Sitting with that is the point
@prettydulac Idk, it doesnt hurt to question how consensual this scene is when Louis (and Claudia) are trapped in an abusive situation. Does Louis feel like he can even say no to Lestat? He says he’s dissociated and a “vessel of acceptance”. Also, the Bruce mention isn’t random.
@lestatapologia@Slate The concept of reading IWTV or TVL and being like wow this reminds me of the turmoil of adolescence…are they getting the books confused with Twilight?😭
