@Samamadi Dee, why do I feel that sentiments are driving you real far from the political realities on ground. I mean being one who was once an aide to a senate president and chairman of an important government agency like NERC and a cerebral titan in every right, why has your sentiments pushed you too far from political realities. First you are yet to see the see the strange bedfellowship going on in that NDC. Secondly you still think there is any known our unknown magic or miracle that can ever make Obi President of a large democracy like ours. Sir I have heard you speak couple of times, and I don't think anyone would school on the fact that populism alone doesn't drive electoral victory in large democracies like ours, Brazil, US, India etc.
There was a reason why Sen. Bernie Sanders despite always winning his congressional elections as an independent needed the Democratic party establishment when he wanted to run for presidency even when the US constitution allowed for independent candidacy. ADC being a conglomeration of the political "OGs" stood a better chance of consolidating and leveraging on these "OGs" to form a potent structure and establishment that had better chances at the polls and not Dickson's NDC. Is this Dickson's NDC any different from Orji Kalu's PPA, Atahiru Bafarawa's DPP, Okorocha's AA, Chris Okotie's Fresh Democratic Party, etc?
Dee, leave sentiments aside and come to terms with the political realities. We all are students of politics and political history, hence we must not indulge in living in denial of our realities.
Before you judge Mark Okoye.. it’s groundnut season, you can carry out a social experiment to ascertain the place of corruption and dishonesty in our society by randomly calling say 20 young people hawking groundnut, ask each to measure 5cups for you. While they at it act as if you are making calls, turn away your face, repeat same with the 20 vendors then go home and measure it yourself. Do that and come back to tell us your findings and maybe you can then pass ur judgements
Ekweremadu had traveled this route before. And it never saw the light of the day. Well I think when Nigerians are ready for real debate on national development they would realize that even a single term of 8years isnt enough for proper national planning and development. In the presence of weak institutions and higher propensity for policy somersault, a single constitutional term of 10years and a rotational basis should be a starting point for us. Even until the 22nd amendment of the US constitution there wasn't even a term limit, underscoring their understanding of what they needed in the early stage of their development.
@instablog9ja Why should anybody stop in the first instance? Everybody got his or her dreams and aspirations, marriage or raising children must not limit anybody from achieving his or her dream and chasing self-fulfillment🤷♂️
In a very sane clime, characters as this shouldn’t be given platforms as this to make comments on national issues.. this was someone who was lost his job because of grass cutting scandal and corruption. I mean, where is his moral basis to pontificate and call others corrupt when himself engaged in corruption in the most little thing as grass cutting contract.🤨
I guess there is a reason for everything, passing judgements only based on your own beliefs and out of sympathy for the woman is wrong. I think most times it depends on the character of the lady involved. That same man who collected those items back from one lady might just still freely let go of it for another lady. I mean, men only do that when they realized they were being used all along or maybe because the lady was too selfish and self centered all along🤷
@DailyPostNGR Low key, some of these guys seem to be missing their friendship with Asiwaju. Seem like the opposition is becoming tiring and boring for them🤷
In 2013 we actually thought APC was a conglomeration of strange bedfellows, but apparently here we got the first party which is actually and indeed a conglomeration of strange bedfellows. A supreme leader who doesn't believe in the ideas or ideology of its presidential candidate, then a runningmate who doesn't understand while he is even the running mate instead of the candidate😂🤷♂️
@GuardianNigeria APC at formation was tagged a party of strange bedfellows, but what I see today in that NDC can be best tagged as "strange bedfellows ultra-promax"🤷♂️
At any point it gets to that Egbon Dele Momodu ever becomes a contender for the running mate to a major presidential aspirant and heavyweight like Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, that's not a good omen at all. It signals a declining political fortune.
I mean, whilst Egbon Dele Momodu remains eminently qualified to aspire even for the presidency, his aspirations may never move beyond academic aspirations like that of the likes Omoyele Sowore, Chris Okotie, Peter Obi, Prof Osibanjo etc. Beyond the cerebral and academic qualifications, lies the real political wit and commanding power which the likes of Wike has long since early 2000s had. If it ever gets to the point that Egbon Dele Momodu ever becomes a running mate contender, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar would have been reduced to the class of Sowore and Co. But then, I think who our Egbon needs is someone his presence on the ticket would bring life to and not Atiku, because Atiku is already a political brand name. Our Egbon would be a perfect running mate to Amb. Aliyu Bin Abbas of the Action Democratic Party (ADP). Together they would win and chart a new chapter for our Nation✊️💪
@JhayKvng@instablog9ja “Go and borrow” but you just admitted here that you borrowed from your wife which repaid as soon as you got your feet back. So you and I who is stuupeed for not understanding simple English and context. Dumb head, you should have borrowed some sense from your wife too🙄
@JhayKvng@instablog9ja You are stuupeed if as a man you want to ever be fed and housed by a woman under any circumstances unless you are sick and handicapped. The true masculine spirit is one that has no place for self pity and shifty of responsibilities. True men take responsibility no matter what👌
