👏 Glad to be part of this wonderful team of scientists! I'll be coordinating the @polimi unit, focused on the "integration" task, putting together different technologies: hyperspectral imaging by @nireos_imaging, Raman spectroscopy by RiverD and AI tools by UPM🚀
Il debito pubblico nel 2023 valeva 2.947 miliardi di euro. Rispetto a vent'anni fa è raddoppiato come valore nominale e cresciuto del 36% in termini reali (tenendo conto dell'inflazione).
The EN:lab building has been inaugurated: it's a zero direct emissions building designed implementing innovative solutions for efficient and integrated energy management.
6,000 sqm will be dedicated to the activities of the Department of Energy @polimi. https://t.co/Zm6kIGD2bW
QS University Rankings, Politecnico di Milano reaches its highest ever position and enters the top 8% worldwide. The University confirms its position as the number one university in Italy and ranks 111th in the world, gaining 12 positions compared … https://t.co/vEp6vUqkdm
🚀 Exciting news! Our ERC Synergy grant proposal has passed the first phase! Collaborating with top biologists & deep learning experts, we're developing a 4D multi-modal microscope to revolutionize cancer cell research. Stay tuned! #CancerResearch#Innovation#ERCGrant
🚀 Exciting News! 🚀
I'm thrilled to share our latest research paper published in ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces on innovative one-step synthesis of a nanocomposite for near-infrared (NIR) controlled drug delivery.

A thread 🧵below👇
This new system uses upconverting nanoparticles with mesoporous UV-breakable organosilica shells, significantly reducing the required laser power for triggering drug release. This holds great promise for scalable, flexible, and biocompatible NIR-triggered drug delivery systems.
👉The other is a collaboration with @G_Antonacci from Spectō Photonics, in which we designed, realized and demonstrated a novel compact filter for #Brillouin spectroscopy and microscopy, applicable also to very scattering media such as bones.
Two papers accepted on Nature Communications on the same day!
👉 The first is a collaboratoin with Sara Sigismund at IEO . We employed our Non-Linear Optical Microscope 🔬 to image two-photon-excited fluorescence hashtag#TPEF from HeLa cells, to study growth factor receptors.
Alberto Corigliano, professor at @polimi, has been awarded an ERC Advanced Grant from the @ERC_Research for the IMMENSE project. The challenge is to create materials and structures capable of self-learning and self-adapting. @PolitecnicoDICA https://t.co/L6VPT6rJWV
Many applications covered: biology, flame characterization and thermometry, solid-state and energy materials, interface dynamics, astrophysics and planetary science, novel 2D materials, gas-phase and liquid-phase molecules.
Great audience of colleagues and great talks on coherent Raman microscopy, frequency comb spectroscopy, second-harmonic and sum-frequency generation, cavity ring-down spectroscopy, two-photon fluorescence, lifetime imaging, vibrational spectroscopy
