@NFUtweets@ProagriLtd@FamilyBizUK This is completely untrue, anyone can have a report written that supports their motives….you can’t hide the wealth farmers have, everyone else pays their IHT, farmers who are millionaires should pay it too, whether the wealth is in assets is irrelevant.
@Radmore_farm@SteveReedMP I earn over £200k per year (and I’m a paye tax payer so a far bigger tax contributor) and have no where near the lifestyle of the farmers who live near me (south east), I could not afford to send my children to private school like them or drive the vehicles they do……
@NFUCymru@AledNfu Your alternative proposal is exactly what’s there now…7 year rule on asset transfers…so the status quo would remain!!!!! That’s not an alternative
@NoFarmsNoFoods That means your estate is currently worth approximately £5million (assuming you get £3m worth of the straight forward reliefs)….you are so removed from the ordinary public who could only wish to have that!!!
@bonnar30014@DaddyCoffee73@FarmingUK we are very aware this is the rich protecting their wealth at the expense of the public…how many farmers children go to state school? I know zero…..you have never supported any other sector in society, yet you expect them to come to your aid.
@BigEdBanthorp@DaddyCoffee73@FarmingUK No it’s not…we are very aware this is the rich protecting their wealth at the expense of the public…how many farmers children go to state school? I know zero…..you have never supported any other sector in society, yet you expect them to come to your aid.
@NoFarmsNoFoods Good…27k of profit pays very little tax…I believe I paid more income tax in the last year than your farm has in the current generation….0% contribution!!! About time you were taxed
@GrahamJohn37203@NoFarmsNoFoods Or you pay very little tax on £27k of profit, do you think we are stupid!!!! What private school do your children go to??? Did you buy the new ranger rover and pay 0% vat because its classed as agricultural
@NFUtweets@ProagriLtd What have you ever done for any other sector, you voted for Brexit and you expect the public to come to your aid when you couldn’t care less about them!
@NFUtweets@ProagriLtd@LBCNews@DefraGovUK Everyone knows where food comes from, do not belittle the public by sayjng “no famers = no food”…you give very little insight in to your claim most farms only make 0.5% profit per year….I really think hmrc need to look closely at this…
@NoFarmsNoFoods You must have a farm worth over £6 Million (assuming you can claim the max 3million threshold before IHT is due)…hmm £6milliom in assets while there is 3 million children living below the poverty line
@FarmersGuardian@NFUtweets I’m sorry but I do not agree that the very wealthiest in society should not pay IHT. I question why it is not 40% like everyone else. I’m in the southeast and the wealth farmers have is extraordinary. expensive cars, private schools, etc. how does 0.5 profit pay for all this?
