On July 3, youths in Bangladesh coordinated a digital strike against coal plant construction funded by the Japanese International Cooperation Agency and called on Prime Minister of Japan @shinzoabe to stop the funding of the 2nd phase of the Matabari coal plant.

The fossil fuel industry is a burden to the environment & the people.

Around 251,000 liters of oil were spilled in the shore of Iloilo City, Philippines last July 3, 2020. The incident occured due to an explosion of a power generating barge owned by AC Energy, an Ayala Company.

Experts have said that because of the Iloilo oil spill, mangrove trees surrounding the area are likely to die in 3 months if no action is taken. This will also have a huge negative impact on the local marine life.
