🌞Final Upgrade
Once the Ravencoin patch was migrated to Neurai and the node was tested on both the testnet and Mainnet, we began rolling it out across all Neurai services:
✅ Block explorer.
✅ Indexers (ElectrumX, Blockbook)
✅ Our RPC for wallets.
✅ Our wallets (mobile, web, add-on, etc.)
✅ Our Docker templates with the node.
⚖️Exchanges
@Gate_Launch , @MEXC , and @coinexcom helped us by quickly suspending deposits and withdrawals on Neurai to prevent any attacks, and once the patch was deployed, they began configuring it on their systems.
Currently, MEXC is fully operational; Gate is rolling out the service in phases, and withdrawals are now working; and CoinEx will also enable everything shortly, as all of them have our updated version.
Although it is a smaller exchange, @nonkyc_exchange also quickly updated its node when we notified them.
The pools have also been updated to a greater extent, and there are still a few that we are contacting to have them updated.

We’d also like to thank the exchanges for their excellent work, they responded very quickly to our requests for assistance, and thank the community for reporting this error so we could fix it as quickly as possible.
For our part, we’ll continue working on Positronic testing, which is where our efforts are focused right now. We’re planning an update to our wallet with DePIN features that are more powerful than the current ones.

📒 Monthly Development Updates: July 2026
The team is accelerating, and the development news for July 2026 shows it. This month saw more than 100 merges from thirteen repositories across Nexa GitLab.
The most important delivery is Tailstorm protocol hardening, which is still in the extensive testing phase. Tailstorm is reaching its final phases before the mainnet integration.
Continuous work is underway on the block explorer, Hodl vaults integration into LibNexaKotlin, and numerous updates to wallets and SDK infrastructure. NexScript playground is also moving towards planned updates and releases in the roadmap.
Notable developments are in the field of AI-assisted development, where the team is assembling skills and tools for AI agents. Previously, it was announced publicly that the work is ongoing, and we will soon review David Thibodeau's (@DPTib) presentation on AI skills.

📒 Nexa August Highlights: NexaPoW 2.0 Introduced
This August is exciting and brings us a lot of positive news. The president of Bitcoin Unlimited (@BitcoinUnlimit), Andrew Clifford, has explained the new 2.0 version of the NexaPoW algorithm, a fundamental improvement to the Nexa blockchain.
The new algorithm is an indirectly useful proof-of-work which is changing how we look at proof-of-work itself. For many years, old-fashioned PoW was considered just e-waste, which is not useful, but now it will directly correlate with the network's capabilities.
Nexa Chief Scientist Dr Peter Rizun (@PeterRizun) and Lead Developer Andrew Stone (@GAndrewStone) are working on NexaPoW from two different angles. Peter is implementing the new solution in the hardware, which will use an FPGA for mining and signature verification, removing the major bottleneck in full node operations.
Andrew is leading the efforts from the software side. In addition to hardware acceleration, the team is integrating the Tailstorm protocol into the main Nexa blockchain layer. Nexa is moving towards a directed acyclic graph (DAG) hybrid model combined with a traditional blockchain.
A hybrid model means that the Nexa blockchain will benefit from both model’s strengths. Preserving the traditional blockchain model and introducing what we will call summary-blocks, and combining them with sub-blocks that are created every few seconds, will make blocks faster to mine, ensure a fairer distribution of block rewards, and enable faster transaction verification.
To better understand all of this, B.U. president Andrew Clifford explained Nexa’s approach and the NexaPoW architecture. He discussed the history of how and when proof-of-work was invented, and how Nexa is moving towards indirectly useful PoW and aligning mining with signature verification algorithms so that all network users would benefit from improved mining.
