@Uber_Support Hi there. My friend is missing. We have a missing person report filed with our local police department and are trying to pinpoint his last location. Is there a way to find out if he booked an Uber yesterday? His wife is with us, we have the report number, etc.
@TheatreOfNOTE @SleepyPanda76 Looks like the link from the last webinar has expired and y'all haven't posted a new one. Don't deny us our @SleepyPanda76 pleasures!
What a frustrating morning. Someone signed up for a @PayPal account with [email protected], which Google treats the same as my [email protected], possibly in an attempt to intercept payments meant for me (but probably just because they're dumb).
@Samuraiko@PayPal@AskPayPal PayPal and this tiny bank in the deep south are the only two companies who haven't said "Oops! Let me remove your email from their account!" It's a risk both ways, you know? I'm now spamming a stranger with text messages THROUGH THEIR SYSTEM and they're enabling that behavior.
@Samuraiko@PayPal@AskPayPal Exactly! This is what has happened every other time I've contacted a company about this, dozens of times. My email address is [email protected]. Lots of folks with the same first initial and last name as me have done this over the years. It should be an easy fix!
@Samuraiko@PayPal@AskPayPal According to them, I was transferred to their fraud department after the initial run-in with support. Same response. They unfortunately route all their fraud complaints through their regular customer service line.

In short, if your name is Maureen and you're getting frequent text messages asking you to reset your @PayPal password, that's me trying to encourage you to add your own email address to your account instead of mine. 😡
It took me a 26 minute phone call and a 48 minute phone call (plus the time waiting for callbacks) to get to the point of @PayPal saying the equivalent of "Sorry, we can't close a fraudulent account on our service without the permission of the fool who created it."
