初期のグランツーリスモ・シリーズは、必ずゲームディスクと、同梱ブックレットとをセットにして販売していました。
「体験するグランツーリスモ」と「読むグランツーリスモ」の組み合わせです。
グランツーリスモを通じて、自動車とは何か、自動車の物理とは何か、ドライビングとは何か、に興味を持ったプレーヤーや、それが昂じていま自動車業界で働く方もたくさんいらっしゃると思います。
近年になって、コスト的に見合わないという理由で、物理的なブックレットの同梱はなくなっていたのですが、とはいえ自動車とは何か、は、やはり伝えていきたい。
そんな動機から、過去の同梱ブックレットの内容を再構成してWebで公開しました。最新の知見や業界動向もふまえた新しい改訂版を作りたいと思っていますが、ひとまずこれまでの集大成です。

In the early days of the Gran Turismo series, the game disc was always sold as a set with an accompanying booklet.
It was a combination of “experiencing Gran Turismo” and “reading about Gran Turismo.”
I believe there are many players who, through Gran Turismo, developed an interest in what cars are, the physics of cars, and what driving is all about—and many of them have gone on to work in the automotive industry as a result.
In recent years, the inclusion of physical booklets was discontinued because it was deemed uneconomical, but we still want to convey the essence of what a car is.
Motivated by this, we’ve reorganized the content of past bundled booklets and published it online. While we hope to create a new, revised edition that incorporates the latest insights and industry trends, this is, for now, a compilation of everything we’ve covered so far.
