On the heels of our similar study with #Marburg virus, we demonstrate that combining #remdesivir with a cocktail of two pan-ebolavirus #mAbs protects NHP against lethal Sudan virus infection when administered during an advanced stage of disease

Our lab recently detected Bourbon virus in H. longicornis! This invasive tick species has not been associated with viruses before in the USA. It is also first evidence of Bourbon virus in Virginia. Stay tuned for a full report and future updates! #VT#AsianLonghornedTick
@BenteLab Good move with these. All it takes is a pebble being kicked up or a bug flying into their face and all of a sudden Fido loses an eye. I always cringe when I see dogs hanging their heads out of car windows without these.
Congratulations to the newly minted Dr Stephanie Foster from our lab on the successful defense of her work on #nipah virus impacted innate immunity and vaccine approaches. It’s been a long road and we are excited to see the exciting work ahead!
And the much anticipated paper on the recombinant virus from the Muhlberger lab @neidl and featuring many of the same co-authors...great job @AdamJHume and colleagues!

Happy to share our new preprint, several years of research finally reached this point. #Lloviu virus isolation,in vitro human pathogenicity, seropositive bat,RNA positive #bats#ectoparasites, novel sequencing data-possible reservoir for this #filovirus. https://t.co/722XeAQRfm

@annafagre Same. Actually have it quite often, and I agree, it is terrible. I didn't know it was common amongst animal keepers either, but I guess it makes sense.
Congrats to my better half, Michelle, and all of her colleagues on their new paper in @ScienceTM! Functional correlates of protection in NHPs vaccinated with mucosal vaccines against #Ebola

Please RT, We are looking for a highly motivated post-doc to join our BSL4 program examining pathogenesis & vaccine/therapeutic development for high priority viruses including Ebola,Marburg,Lassa,Nipah,CCHF &more,https://t.co/Zfzo93GiR7
@TheMenacheryLab@theNASciences@Baric_Lab Wow Vineet, that is quite a tribute! I was of course familiar with @Baric_Lab's massive contributions to virology spanning several decades, but had no idea what an awesome human being he is. Congrats on the well-earned honor, Dr. Baric!
Congrats to @Baric_Lab on election to @theNASciences.
His work has been critical to CoVs, noro-, & flaviviruses research for decades. He is an excellent scientist.
He is an even better mentor and friend.
Importantly, he's the reason I'm still in science today.
A story...
