The crazy thing is that aside from the surviving spouses from the previous generation, I'm now the eldest on my dad's side of the family. It feels surreal.

I spent all of last week in Las Vegas. However, not a second of it was on The Strip. My dad died. I got to see him one last time beforehand, but he was already in a coma. I've been helping the family pack and ship stuff. My Dad left me his personal library: over 3,000 books.

@ethanbaron Thank you. I'm sorry, too. My dad was a polyglot: he spoke at least 10 languages fluently. He spent his entire life studying various fields in college, especially SE Asian and Polynesian cultures. But he hated people. He only respected me because I could equal him intellectually.
