Canada’s deep investment crisis spans everything from machinery and equipment to technology, IP, R&D, and venture capital.
Over a 10-year period, our business investment per worker dropped 16%, while it rose 9% in the Eurozone, 12% across the OECD, and 26% in the United States.
@WayneMathison@ryangerritsen I think there's a lot of truth here. He does have the look of someone who is a competent pragmatist. Most Canadians do not realize how much of an ideologue he is. And having the entire media spin your failures as a pivot to a better future is very helpful.
""The budgetary deficit is projected to average around $64 billion over the next five years, with the debt service ratio reaching 13.1 per cent by 2030-31," said Parliamentary Budget Officer Annette Ryan.
...The budgetary deficit is expected to rise from $36.3 billion in 2024‑25 to $72.0 billion in 2025‑26, as modest revenue growth is outpaced by growth in expenses — largely reflecting new measures. Deficits are projected to average $4.6 billion more per year than in the SEU 2026, due to lower revenues (particularly personal income tax) and higher program expenses, partly offset by lower public debt charges." @PBO_DPB
@echipiuk@bcndp Challenging her ideas would mean acknowledging that faith, family and freedom are antithetical to everything the NDP believes in. They don't have the courage to say that, so they blow hard on the socialist dog whistle.
@cbcwatcher But @brodiefenlon says CBC is where you come for the straight goods with no spin or bias. I doubt anyone can be that delusional, so are we to conclude that he has no problem lying to the people who pay his salary?
@TheophanesRex When the media makes a dramatic headline out of observations that have been commonplace on X for years it's just an admission that they've been covering for the Liberals all this time.

@ryangerritsen It would be worth analyzing why support for Trudeau went so far south while under the same conditions support for Carney is so strong. Is it all media? Is it something as superficial as what they look like? I'm reaching for answers here.
The meeting for this is bananas. A senator says "oh, I just have this extra thing to throw Canadians in jail for speech." The other senators praise her bravery, offer mild critiques and then vote it in (including the Conservative). It took 45 minutes. https://t.co/UqhsTCbxKc
@natnewswatch@davidakin The Liberals haven't answered a single question in QP since they became the governing party. That's why the Conservatives keep repeating them. Seems pretty obvious.
