Evolution gave us a drive to survive, but beyond that any purpose we prescribe is just complex brain work to help us cope as a social being and keep us happy.

@rhydy@Gjeebs Actually, I think it's fortuitous that the last 10-15% takes a long time. Charging quickly to 85% is great when you just want to get going, but not long enough when you want time to grab a bit to eat. That slow charging at the end give me enough time to enjoy a meal.
