@DrZedZha@DrZedZha - I've missed reading your posts, here and the other site. The world feels like a raging dumpster fire these days and the micro-doses of empathy and expertise you deliver are so welcome. So today, I finally stopped procrastinating and signed up for your Substack. 🙏😊
@DaveWallsworth I’m glad to know this, and not surprised. I would assume they will also have information about landing slots or gate availability, or perhaps they just phone a friend? I am intrigued by the many tricks out there to shave time and save fuel. Thanks sir.
@RippleGlassSTL I’m making an exception to posting on this hellscape (the Blu place is healthier by far) — Just donated 40 lbs of glass to your handsome purple bin here in Maplewood. Remarkably satisfying feeling! Thank you and happy holiday wishes.
@NWSStLouis Is it time to confront the fact that we could be looking at the latest 'first frost' on record at KSTL? (My roses are *still* thriving.) I believe the current record is Nov. 27 (2009) and although I don't like that CAA coming on Monday night, it's still possible, no?
The relentless ugliness, trash, and ads on this site now far outweigh any value Twitter used to provide. I hope that the 'blu' site continues to exceed expectations. As this may be my last ever post, I'm sharing something beautiful. Thank you @uwecchoir.

@kasie@davidaxelrod Interviews and conversations like this one really reinforce my appreciation for sincere long-form journalism that's got some integrity. I admire both of you, and having a chance to listen to a grown-up conversation for a full hour was a treat. Thanks!
@diplomattitude If you look closely, you can see these words written on the machete: “At times, (the rated officer) could come across as unnecessarily strident when dealing with subordinates and LES. The officer was counseled on this behavior.”
@US_TRANSCOM If I’m not mistaken, that diminutive canine is a 1-star BG and a true cargo dog from the look of that C-17 patch. The logistics tail is real.
@truewagner Blame “Big Tobacco” for this 😡🤬 Ever since they stymied the initiative for flavored low-tar “kids’ cigars”, youngsters have had no choice but to sneak off to the bogs to smoke in secret. How short-sighted!
@JiayangFan I never fail to enjoy your writing @JiayangFan, and this piece was wonderful. After many years in SE Asia, however, I am still nowhere near brave enough to eat 90% of these delicacies of which you write... though I've survived 臭豆腐 and durian. Maybe you've inspired me...?
@HarvardTFXC Congratulations from an alum who ran either the #1 or #3 leg of the 4x100 relay, depending on the year (1985-1988). I think we were somewhere around 41.4, but was a different millennium back then. 🏅🏆
@diplomattitude I found the transcript starting at ~1:00: "...and I told him you have to give me some fodder for your EER, not just ask me to write it myself. And then he gave me a fully written statement, in Calibri 15-point! I said, "What do you think this is, The Line??" (riotous laughter)
Beyond this I note Academic All-Ivy scholar-athletes like Egbe Ndip-Agbor and Lance Ward; Victoria Bossong, who beat my teammate Meredith Rainey’s 400 m record, and many others! Life after NCAA athletics can be great, but these memories and this esprit de corps always endures.
@HarvardTFXC and @JasonSaretsky - Writing as an HTFXC team co-captain from the previous millennium, I’m deeply proud of the performances from your scholar-athletes: Maia Ramsden and Kenneth Ikeji — NCAA Champs! Tito Alofe, Daniel Falode, and Sofia Gorriaran — NCAA competitors!
