hey… i'm a bit anxious about this... but i have something rather mediocre to share… i have been working tirelessly on another game for a while now and finally feel confident enough to share it,, this is “nophenia” #gamedev#indiedev#godot
If you've considered playing the NA server for FF14 PVP please understand you're dealing with grief alts nearly every season. I've tried using official channels to no avail. This is disrespectful towards everyone's time. I wish moderation was taken more seriously. @FF_XIV_EN
@ironmouse I am! >w<
I am a VTuber who has worked in the animation industry for 6+ years as a storyboard artist. I've previously worked on shows for Disney, Nickelodeon and Netflix! I'd love to help make something!

Hello, im here to share something that has affected me personally, and hurt others. This was very hard for me, but I feel it is neccesary. Please do not send hate to anyone on my behalf, this is all i want to say.

So instead of filing a DMCA claim to https://t.co/7rAvtDZJlG you sent a takedown request to their registrar. Are you incompetent or just lying about your intentions?
Wild behavior.
It's incredible seeing @IronMouse only 14,000 subs away from the all-time @Twitch record set by @KaiCenat. She's also giving half the revenue to the Immune Deficiency Foundation. @IDFCommunity
Awesome Human.
Awesome Community.

The 15th #PirateJam theme has been announced!
The community has chosen Shadows and Alchemy.
Good luck to everyone and I hope you have a great time!

Just had an hour long meeting with the developers and community manager for @OnceHuman_. We talked a lot about the character reset seasonal system and how it felt bad for me as a player. We also talked about itemization, cosmetics, and world balance.
My take on resets is that optional season resets in games are a fun experience and great in games like Diablo or PoE but a mandatory reset for a new season feels terrible. I enjoy having the option to join a new season and reset or keep playing my character as-is in the non-seasonal content indefinitely.
When playing an MMO, item drops carry weight for me as does my characters level and statistics. Anything that takes away from that feels like loss of progression and always feels bad. I never want there to be loss of progression in any RPG or MMO that I play. Each item or level carries a memory, the cool mount drop, that time we beat the boss, when I finally hit level 60, etc. Taking away the item or level diminishes that memory for me and makes me less attached to the game.
Item drops in Once Human also cannot be repaired which immediately made me feel less attached to them. Why farm the cool weapon if I'm going to lose it a few hours from now anyway. I would much rather repair these items even if it's more expensive resource wise as it lets me keep that drop I farmed for. Crafted weapons and armor aren't really a draw and feel like baselines that I should use only when I have to.
Cosmetics currently are also per character which feels very bad. I would much rather have these account-wide. Currently I have no reason to buy a cosmetic as I would then have to rebuy it for each character I make. Why should I buy a cool hat multiple times just because I made multiple characters? Not interested.
They were incredibly receptive to the feedback and understood that a number of you feel the same way about the game. Please do reach out to them and let them know how you feel. They are absolutely listening to you. Change just takes time.
Also, before you turn into stinkers in the comments, hell no they didn't pay me for this. I like what the game could be and the devs wanted to talk about my negative experience.
For all the people currently freaking out about the Once Human Privacy Policy.
The policy states under "Personal Information we receive from you:" that they receive "Name & Contact Details" "Such as first and last name, title, prefix, email address, telephone number, (instant) messaging account, postal address, date of birth, age, gender, country/region, and government-issued ID, such as passport information, as required by applicable laws for age verification and correction of personal information."
The general internet has warped this into a demanded requirement and a privacy issue. It's not. These are only sent to the company when required by applicable local laws. This is why it says "Receive from you" and "as required by applicable laws".
In some countries government issued ID's are required for live service game access. If you are not in one of these countries you obviously are not asked or required to present those documents.
Fearmongering on social media is boring as shit.
This video and the claim it's referencing are absurd.
1. Steams Pricing restriction is only for Steam Key pricing off-platform. Meaning you cannot use Steam as a distribution hub and sell Steam keys off-platform for cheaper. This prevents Valve from getting ripped off and is absolutely fine. They do not dictate the lowest price your game can be sold for unless you are using Steam Keys.
2. Of course Valve doesn't let you buy DLC for Steam Games from rival platforms. That would mean Steam would then have to distribute this DLC despite not making a sale. They have to pay for this bandwidth. For those that think you can do this through Humble Bundle or the like... you are buying a Steam Key there. Don't make me get the stick.
3. The Steam 30% cut is not actually 30%. It's 30% for all sales made on the Steam Platform. If you sell Steam Keys, Valve takes a 0% cut of that transaction. They also don't charge for generating steam keys. The claim that the 30% is egregious is also a subjective opinion as many developers (myself included) find that the value brought by steam is well worth it.
You can read everything about Steams partner agreement and more in the Steamworks Documentation. It's public information.

I would love to see a style of content added to XIV in line with their 'lifestyle' mode entries: Namely, "Relaxation Roulette." I picture reimagined/restored versions of older content like Saint Mocianne's Arboretum, or Amaurot. With alternate music not unlike this.
The Helldivers 2 community was tricked by Sony.
Sony declared having a PSN account would be mandatory to play Helldivers 2. The community revolted and trashed the games review score to 13% positive. Sony walked it back and stated they wouldn't be making PSN mandatory.
Declaring victory the community undid the massive wave of negative reviews. Yet Sony did something sinister in the background. They restricted Helldivers 2 from being purchased in all 177 countries where PSN isn't available.
They fooled you and the devs are still fighting to fix it.

Ah, look here everyone. A games industry executive has been backed into a corner without any possibility of escape.
Yet... what's this?! She's deflected the barrage with random heartfelt gibberish while not answering the question!
Nature is incredible.
