@RupertLowe10 Focus on the other nations of the UK — Scotland, Wales and NI — and you will get my vote. If you care about Britain, you need to care about all of it and stop substituting 'Britain' for 'England' in your rhetoric.
@ni8loe@_CM_67_ Twitter is not real life. Most people I personally know from Edinburgh have moved to Glasgow to get away from it, and they've never regretted it.
@_CM_67_ The main problem with Edinburgh is the attitude of the locals, they ruin it. I'm not saying I haven't met nice Burgers, I have, but Glasgow is a far friendlier city overall.
@RupertLowe10 You are positioning yourself as a British party, but you constantly talk about England. If you are for the British, you are representing Scotland, Wales and NI as well. Many Scottish, Welsh and NI people would vote for you, so why do you sound like an English nationalist?
@RealRichardPoe@_homunculus1@ClarkeMicah While I agree with the main thrust of your argument that Britain is still running the show, there are influences that America has exerted on British culture that many of us don't appreciate.
@RealRichardPoe@_homunculus1@ClarkeMicah In particular, I resent the fact that British politics has borrowed much from the US in the past decade. We never used to have leadership debates, and nobody made a fuss over elections. That has now changed.
@RealRichardPoe@_homunculus1@ClarkeMicah The real reason why so many Brits are anti-American is because we find some of the more extreme aspects of American culture hard to stomach. For instance, baby showers have only become a thing here in the past decade. Many of us resent it because we are, mostly, minimalists.
@TheGlobal_Index@Locati0ns So you're saying the Finns are Slavs, that the Irish are Germanic, and the Hungarians and Romanians are Hellenic? Whoever developed this map doesn't know their stuff.
@JohnnyVedmore@ji4lat I didn't say that I don't see it, what I'm saying is that many people who are likely more intelligent than the pair of us *don't* see it, and that's sadly a fact of life. I have worked with such people, you will never get their 'hyper-logical' minds to entertain conspiracy.
@JohnnyVedmore@ji4lat Not everyone who supports the agenda knows the agenda well. Some of my uni friends went on to work for the UN in some capacity or another, that doesn't mean that they know all the ins and outs of that agenda. Most people don't think out of the box like that.
@JohnnyVedmore@ji4lat Well, perhaps it's more related to the dirt certain individuals and organisations have on him... Because I'm not reading a man who is emotionally or ideologically involved in what he's arguing for. This is how I write when under pressure, it doesn't seem genuine.
