i didn't even include 11labs in my tts tests cause my wallet would cry. i actually have the 99$ plan for work but the token usage is ridiculous. 11labs is still far superior to any other i've tried. i really hope i can perhaps at some point justify using it but rn, nope ;_;

i feel like, once you used @OpenAI tts, you cannot get used to how unnatural and repetitive other tts sound but holy sh, it is S L O W

tts comparison on pony. edge is definitely not bad but esp the "sanna! hello sanna!" shows a big difference cause openai actually varies the speech

@Muj_in i always hope it's just misguided children defending this; i rly don't wanna believe that any reasonable adult, capable of critical thinking, would fail to see how fked up and disturbing it would be if their minor daughters (or sons) talked like that to someone twice their age

just found out you can use the "read aloud" voices from microsoft edge browser instead of paid tts apis

@katiewpeace a good synonym would be AI streamer; pony specifically is made for twitch and is then visible on stream as an anime girl/vtuber with expressions and all and can react to chat as well as to my input :) check out our yt for some demos~
