How about a real discussion at the NHC about the Eclipse Award: should it be a vote amongst 3 finalists-the NHC, the BCBC and the NHC Tour winners? Automatically giving it to NHC winner mocks every other tournament!!

Not only the Exacta payout in race 2 Keeneland today- the Trifecta was way off. It was 44/1 over 53/1 over 9/1 and only pays $665!! In the 3rd race the Trifecta was 12/1 over 20/1 over 16/1 and paid $663! How can they pay the same???

2nd race at Keeneland today- the winner pays $91.86 over a $41 second place and the $1 Exacta returns only $286.74. How is that even possibly right? Where did all those winning tickets came from??

Long past time to have a real discussion about the Eclipse Award for Handicapping. The criteria needs to change to present voters with a 3 person choice, just as in the other Eclipse categories. The NHC and BCBC champs could be 2 finalists, with new criteria for the 3rd entry.
