We've been retained by the family of Demartravion "Trey" Reed — the 21-year-old Delta State University student whose body was found hanging from a tree.
Trey was a young man full of promise and warmth, deeply loved and respected by all who knew him. His family and the campus community deserve a full, independent investigation to uncover the truth about what happened.
We cannot accept vague conclusions when so many questions remain. I stand with this family, and I will lead a team of civil rights leaders and organizations in pursuing transparency and answers for Trey’s family.

🚨MAJOR BREAKING: Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson JUST signed an executive order that would PREVENT Chicago police from collaborating with the federal agents should they illegally enter the city.
Johnson called the administration "neurotic, impulsive, and out of control."
HE IS ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!
This administration has turned into a radical autoritarian regime that will trample all over democracy to cling to power!
Mayor Johnson is NOT GOING TO LET IT HAPPEN!
🚨NEW: Rep. Jasmine Crockett just vowed that the second Democrats reclaim the gavel, Trump’s corruption dossier gets dragged into the daylight, subpoenas locked, hearings queued, receipts en route.
Ballot box first. Accountability next. Let’s ride.
Thoughts?
🚨 HOLY HELL; Sen. Cory Booker just detonated on the Senate floor.
Screaming match. Finger-pointing. Full-on political exorcism.
He torched his own party for being “WEAK,” said they “MIGHT DESERVE TO LOSE,” and warned Democrats:
“If you’re looking the other way from Trump’s actions, that’s complicity with an authoritarian leader.”
Then came the haymaker:
“COME AT ME? You’ll have to take it up with me AND GOD.”
Booker says Dems are sleepwalking into fascism while pretending bipartisanship is still real.
This eruption was triggered by a debate over policing, but it blew the lid off the whole damn party.
🧨 “The Democratic Party needs a wake-up call.”
Sir, consider it delivered.
🗣️A word from my mother about just a few of the many forms of violence:
“Starving a child is violence. Suppressing a culture is violence. Neglecting school children is violence. Punishing a mother and child is violence. Discriminating against a working man is violence. Ghetto housing is violence. Ignoring medical needs is violence. Contempt for poverty is violence. Even the lack of willpower to help humanity is a sick and sinister form of violence.”
