@mufcxyz Sorry, I only just saw this. Twitter somehow didn't give me the notification. I intend on working on some stuff during my summer holidays in July/August, but I can't promise I'll get to the F1news thing. If I do get around to it I'll look into making an F2 version as well.
Now that Threads is finally available in Europe, I just wanted to say I made an account and I may or may not be becoming active on there. Time will tell i guess. (@poodrig if u wanna follow)
@mufcxyz Thanks for notifying me. Honestly, no clue what happened that it suddenly doesn't work anymore but it seems that it's just an issue with the domain redirect. Try https://t.co/n4syKUxRoN, for me this one works. I'll look into what exactly happened when I get the time.
There's mostly a question about if Threads can get a solid userbase together, but I think if Elon keeps doing what he's doing to this shithole there will be more and more people on the lookout for an alternative. And I can't see bluesky or mastodon succeeding, so Threads it is.
@barwell_max Yea that's me, and thanks for telling me that it's down because I didn't even notice lmao. Turns out I forgot to update my card info on the hosting provider's site, so should be up again by now.
@shanstory I do expect this to be a permanent goodbye to twitter, specifically. But like I said, I also expect an alternative to come along at some point. Likely threads or bluesky, but time will tell. I'll probably join those once I can and become more active again in the future.
So I probably wrote this for myself more than anything, to get closure, to make sure I actually leave it all behind this time. And because I really like to elaborate on very simple things that really are not that deep.
Love you all, we'll meet again.
I think, just like everytime I did those way too long opinion threads that no one's ever read, I just like to put my thoughts out there because it helps me make sense of them. It helps me get them sorted and actually understand my own points better.
