@airindia I had the most pathetic experience at an airport in my life. Credit goes to the management by Air India Staff. I had booked the flight AI678 for September 26 to fly from Mumbai to Delhi. Boarding was delayed by 2 hrs. But What happened after boarding was NEVER EXPECTED.

After being kept like a prisoner for 4 hours in a very small area for 250 passengers to stand by @airindia I finally came back to my home at 1.30 AM, but only with my mind echoing cries of a lady who only wanted to go home with her bags. HIGHLY UNEXPECTED FROM AIRINDIA!

Firstly, there was no staff of @airindia present after our arrival in Mumbai. As and when the staff came, there was no proper protocol to be followed to answer a group of 250 passengers on who wants to take 11 AM flight, Who wants to get checked-in baggage and leave.

One could still try and make patience with what all that was happening, but none of us would have anticipated the torture that followed next. Till 12.30 AM, I would have asked innumorous times, "When will the baggages come" and no one was paying heed to our condition. @airindia

After an enormous wait inside the plane, we were informed that the flight which was to take off at 4 PM will now take off at 11 PM due to some technical problem in the aircraft. And those who didn't want to board were asked to wait for their checked-in baggage by @airindia

Many people had connecting flight from Delhi not only to within India, but many had spent lacs to cross international borders while trusting on @airindia All of it went it vain when @airindia started lying to us CONTINUOUSLY.

We were made to sit insight the plane for 3 hours by @airindia staff and were made to say goodbye to our patience as not a single staff had any idea on what was wrong with the plane. They made us wait and wait without giving any clarity on the next steps.

The country's top demographer, Prof. #KSJames, who is known for his simplicity and expertise in the field of demography, population studies and public health, has been treated unfairly by the BJP gov. NFHS is the only survey that countries outside India have valued since 1992, but today, due to some leaders in the gov not being pleased with NFHS data, the director of IIPS was suspended. This is very distressing for research and policy in the field. Now, in the future, every institution or university's director and VC will fear releasing accurate data, becoming a hindrance to the country's development. Every student and researcher like me stands with Prof. James. We know how transparent and honest a researcher and professor he has been. Considering how rapidly IIPS has grown since he became its director, the gov should reconsider his suspension.

Have personally met IIPS Director Mr. K.S. James, on few occasions for an important meeting on Ageing & The Longitudinal Ageing Study in India (LASI) meetings, his dedication and commitment for Elders and Community is unmatched. Sad with govt silly excuse to suspend him !
