@OnYourLeft91 @ECOWARRIORSS If carbon was taxed sufficiently, at source, it would make a massive difference. So simple. This would drive incentive for change AND provide funding for the change.
@JuliaHB1 Those always chanting that people in small boats are economic migrants must also embrace denial of man-made climate change. Not to do this would give many economic migrants a good reason for being economic migrants.
The logical conclusion of the argument that we cannot possibly have native predators such as lynx or wolves back in Britain is that apex predators should not exist *anywhere*. If rich Britain, home to some of the biggest, most sparsely populated upland landscapes in Europe, cannot accommodate wolves, why should Italy, Belgium or the Netherlands? And why should India not do away with its tigers, Sri Lanka its leopards or Costa Rica its jaguars? There are no rational or moral arguments to support assertion that we cannot coexist with our own native wildlife in functional ecosystems. I’m willing to debate anyone on this, anywhere, anytime.
#Spain is in the grip of its 3rd major heatwave this year alone. The region is becoming increasingly arid, making agriculture unsustainable and desertification inevitable.
“It’s going to take decades if not centuries for these things to recover. There’s no quick fix to replacing this ice." #ActOnClimate

@grantshapps Conservatives are the political wing of the oil industry.
✅ Banned onshore wind
✅ Crashed solar
✅ Abandoned energy efficiency
✅ Sold our storage
✅ Took £3.5 Million from the oil industry last year alone.
@grantshapps The right Dishonourable Grant Shapps!
@grantshapps
Has not realised that we have a climate emergency yet.
Let's hope he wakes up before it's too late.
PLEASE This is a really important petition to show strength of anger against Daily Mail Sunak declaration to "max out" UK fossil fuels: Stop all new oil and gas developments

@oflynnsocial Total the wrong way round but you much of the reporting is very lazy, without the full facts. Today for example the heating oceans weren't reported as being the existential threat to humans that they are. @BBCNews
@NileGardiner And why is that exactly? It was peaceful, it was safe, nobody was at risk, no security threat, it offered up the truth. Ah I see! You disagree with them! So put them in jail! Got ya 👍
@NileGardiner For what? Peaceful demonstration against a corrupt policy maker who gives oils and gas licenses for more drilling just after his wife company get. £1.5 billion deal with BP? And you think they are the criminals? Seriously, how big was your cut?
@RishiSunak I think you know this does nothing of the sort. Also, if you want to talk homegrown energy, why has one of the windiest countries in Europe still got a ban on onshore wind?
