18 ಲಕ್ಷಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಭಾಷಿಕರಿರುವ ತುಳುವಿಗೆ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಿದೆ, ತುಳುವಿಗೆ ಅಧಿಕೃತ ಭಾಷಾ ಸ್ಥಾನಮಾನ ನೀಡುವುದರಿಂದ ಆ ಭಾಷೆಯ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಗೆ ಅನುಕೂಲಕರವಾಗಲಿದೆ.
